Did Red take his medication before saying this? Its being rumored, then denied, then rumored, then denied.

No one really knows what the Vikings are looking for in exchange of Moss. I think the emergence of Nate Burleson has given the team reason to seriously consider trading Moss. Without Moss, the offense will probably drop to around the 10th ranked offense in the league. However, if they can pick up the few impact players they need on defense to upgrade that unit to a top 10 group, then it is worth it.

I wouldn't mind seeing Moss traded now that we have a couple of really good receivers in Robinson and Burleson. I would only hope that we get 1 or 2 defensive starters and a 1st rounder. I don't think we would ever get anything more than that.

there have been rumors about the Jets. Moss said a couple of years ago he wants to be with Pennington. Hope he still does. I think Cowert, 1st round pick and someone else. idk maybe like a sign and trade deal with Abraham well then i'm not sure about giving away cowert. its possible though. !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The latest rumor & one that makes sense to me is Moss to Oakland for a 1st rounder & P Buchanon.

As for the jets, They have franchised Abraham. Maybe a deal can be worked out but lets hope not.

I can't see the Vikings trading Moss unless its a franchise changing move. P Buchanon would be a good start, but they would need more than him and a single draft pick.

Word from Winter Park is that they have not even assessed who would be on the table for trading...

I think the media is reporting their own rumors at this point.

If they could get one good player it would be a wash. He is definately not worth three and high 1st. I dont think anyone would trade a high 1st for him. I think they would rather have mike williams.

I think you are mistaken. Personel offices know just how much Moss can add to a team.

That was my point, they know what he can add to a team, they know how he is going to hurt a team. Moss with a good attitude, and 100% effort would be the most valuble player in the league, but he brings neither of those things to the table. If the bears went after him i would be pissed off. I would have to spend a lot more time on baseball and basketball.

Did anyone hear that Parcells is looking at Moss. Parcells has a way with bad vibe players. Maybe he can turn Moss into a respectable player, instead of a waste of talent.

I heard that. Imagine Randy Moss being a respectable player, with a good attitude and leadership. He would be one hell of a player. The ideal image of what a WR in the NFL should be. Everyone would want him not just Parcells.

Well, everyone is entitle to their opinion. Moss does have his problems, but the benefits of having Moss on the team far outweigh the negatives. The negatives definitely get blown out of proportion, but maybe that is a benefit.

He does have his benefits, your offense will be better, and you will get to airport quick, becuase he will gladly shove any traffic officers out of the way for you.

I am going to take two reactions to your response.

    1. The typical "my team is the best in the world, and everyone on it is a superstar" response...

Moss pushing the traffic officer was totally overplayed by the media as a bad thing. Really, it just shows his courage to stand up to authority and his confidence in himself. A good player should know that they are good, but since he is so good and he knows it, the world singles him out.

He is the absolute best player to ever play football, unless he leaves the Vikings.

    2. A more reasonable response

Your offense will be much better, not just better. It is good to note that Moss's teammates hold him in very high regards. No one can know a person through seeing a few of their actions. His teammates know him, know that he's a strange case, but are able to accept that in light of his talent.

Any team that takes him on, and understands him, will benefit from his presence.

I am going to respond in my typical fashion, as a jerk of a divisional rival.

Well with moss on your team the "moon" is the limit [IMG]
