This was a great game for us, and this win could not have come at a better time, it was a very crucial game and snapped our 5 game losing streak. Caron didn't play because he was in the hospital due to a back injury suffered against the Lakers last night. The Knicks lost tonight to the Hornets and unfortunately the Sixers defeated the Wizards, but that was pretty much a given. Hopefully the Bulls will defeat the Celtics tomorrow night. We're slowly but surely edging our way into playoff contention. <div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">ORLANDO, Fla., Feb. 11 (Ticker) -- The Orlando Magic officially celebrated their 15th anniversary Wednesday. The Miami Heat crashed the party. Rookie Dwyane Wade had 27 points and 10 rebounds to lift the Heat to a 111-98 victory over the Magic that ended a five-game losing streak. Rafer Alston scored 23 points, Lamar Odom added 18 and Brian Grant 16 and 12 rebounds for Miami, which shot 54 percent from the field and has won two straight from its intrastate rivals. Team executive Pat Williams announced the top 10 players in Magic history during a halftime telecast, with current All-Star guard McGrady topping the list. The event was supposed to be a festive event for the franchise, but the Heat were the ones that had a good time. Miami cruised to a 60-35 lead with 3:11 remaining in the second quarter. Orlando gradually chipped away and pulled within 103-96 with 2:01 to go. But Alston's 3-pointer a minute later pushed the cushion back to 106-96. </div> Click here for the rest of the recap. The combo of Rafer and Wade as the starting guards was just deadly. Both of them broke 20, to combine for about 50 of the 111 points. It's unfortunate that Caron Butler couldn't play, but the other Butler played well. As for Odom, just another day at the office. I hope they make the playoffs, as well.
Damn, Dwyane Wade is an absolute stud. All the talk about Bron and Melo , and rightly so, but this kid is going to be a name in the league for many years to come. Might make people take notice of Miami.
It would be better if the Knicks beat the Hornets. Heats have a pretty tough schedule ahead facing Utah,Denver, and Atlanta(not that hard), but all 3 are at home.

Our competition will be the Hawks, Magic, Wizards, and Bobcats... this is GREAT for the Heat . Unless something goes drastically wrong for the Heat or if one of the four aforementioned teams makes a huge landmark change such as a big trade, the Heat are almost guaranteed a playoff spot. It will be interesting to see what the Hawks do with all of their cap space after the recent trade for Sheed and Person, because that will have a huge impact on what happens in the South East Division next season.
Well Sheed's traded now... so what are they gonna do with their cap? I'm guessing Kobe, maybe T-mac... Anyways, Miami will destroy nextyear...
