I just got home from the Wizards @ Heat game and WOW what a night! Tons of highlight dunks, steals, alley oops, WOW! One of the most fun Heat games in a long time with the Wizards leading in the 4th quarter 52-50 and the taking charge to build up a 13 point lead Dwyane Wade, not surprisingly had the game high 20 points, 11 of those coming in the 4th quarter, and he also had 5 rebounds and 4 assists. In the 4th quarter he turned the heat onwith a monster highlight dunk and also in the 2nd quarter one of his assists was an amazing alley oop to Udonis Haslem, who had a total of 4 points, 3 rebounds, and 1 steal in the very short 10 minutes that he played. Rasual Butler played in the second half for 12 minutes and this was the 4th time he stepped onto the court this season due to an injury in the pre season. Rasual Butler really saved the Heat when they were behind with 9 points and 2 rebounds. In the post game press conference, Stan Van Gundy said that if it were not for Rasual Butler, the Heat would have lost. Stan also talked about how it's great to see players like Rasual work hard every day in the gym and on the practice court and then when they finally get their chance, they really shine and carry the team to a win. Loren Woods had ANOTHER horrible performance tonight, on at least 5 occasions during tonights game, he just missed perfectly good passes when posting up either flat out missing them or bouncing out of his hands and each time the Wizards scored. I hope Wang Zhizhi gets healthy soon... Rafer Alston had good night with 10 points, 6 of those resulting from 3 pointers and he had 5 assists, 3 steals, and 2 rebounds. Caron Butler had 9 points going 75% from the field, 7 rebounds (2 offensive), and 2 assists in 25 minutes. It was a good performance considering he came back only a few weeks ago, we just have to wait for him to get on a hot streak. Brian Grant had only 6 points, but 10 rebounds (3 offensive), and 1 assist. There was a scary moment in the 3rd quarter when he was knocked down when going for a rebound and hurt his knee, he got up under his own power after about 3 or 4 minutes and he limped back to the bench where his knee was tended to by a trainer, he was back on the court in the 4th quarter like nothing happened... what a relief! Lamar Odom in the 44 minutes he spent on the court had only 10 points, 6 of those points resulting from clutch 3's and he also had 7 rebounds, 3 assists, and 2 steals. He was really playing hard tonight compared with his performance on Sunday where he was still recovering from the flu and could barely run in the 4th quarter. Eddie Jones had 11 points and went 4-14 from the field missing all 4 of his attempted 3 pointers. He also had 5 rebounds, 2 assists, and 1 steal. For the Wizards, Larry Hughes had 16 points, Jared Jeffries had 14 points, Jarvis Hayes had 13 points, Juan Dixon had 11 points, and Steve Blake had only 8. I also got to meet Lenny Kravitz which was pretty cool. I highly recommend you guys catch the highlights of the game on Sports Center, NBA TV, or even download them when they're posted on the Heat website probably tomorrow. ... Oh, and how could I forget how the Heat dancers looked in their white Christmas outfits, WOW!
Yeah i saw it too... What a Dunk!!!!!! He steps up when it matters like he did in the 4th quarter. First Rookie in Franchise history to have 6 straight 20+ games. He should be Mention atleast top 3 in ROY.
