<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">Heat General Manager Randy Pfund said Wednesday the team remains aggressive in the free-agent market, but only on its terms. Over the past week, three prominent free-agent power forwards -- Shareef Abdur-Rahim (Nets), Stromile Swift (Rockets) and Donyell Marshall (Cavaliers) -- have agreed to contracts with other teams, as did point guard Antonio Daniels (Wizards). "We had interest in all those guys, in some way, shape or form," Pfund said from Long Beach, Calif., where the Heat completed its summer-league schedule. "Some of them maybe the price was a little too steep. Some of 'em were a position we felt like we needed to address other positions first." The Heat has tended to strike later during the free-agency period in recent years, especially when limited to the mid-level exception, which this year should be around $5.1 million. The opening date for signings has been pushed back from Friday to sometime next week as the drafting of a new collective-bargaining agreement continues.</div> Article Continued
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting The Soft Parade:</div><div class="quote_post">But why take Watson? Miami already has 2 suprising talented players in Dooling and Damon Jones...</div> They both opted for free agency and will most likely lose one of them, plus Watson is better all around player than Dooling or Jones.
Ohh, its just when I checked Miami`s roster on the website it doesn`t like the 2 as FA`s... Well yes Watson would be a great backup to Wade coming off the bench, hopefully Miami pursues Watson or a decent point guard. That brings me to a question for you guys, if Miami were to give up one of the two players in Damon Jones and Keyon Dooling, who would you pick?

And I would prefer dooling because he can actually defend people.

Miamiballa I agree with you 100%
