I just called my season ticket rep about playoff tickets since we're guaranteed to make it now and they actually expect season ticket holders to pay $6000 to lock in their seats and get playoff tickets. The $6000 is to cover every playoff game all the way from the first round to the finals, and if the Heat get knocked out in the first round then they just refund all of it minus the cost of the games the Heat actually played at home. I mean damn $6000 is ridiculous and they won't let me just buy my tickets on a game by game basis because I can't afford to put $6000 on my credit card up front even if like 90% of it will be refunded later on if the Heat get knocked out in the first or second round. When I first got season tickets one of the perks was I get playoff priority and all of that, they never said anything about having to pay 6 grand up front for them. My season tickets for the entire season didn't even cost $6000 and they just expect me to shell out that much right now, and with the season I was able to pay them in 8 monthly payments too which was really good for me. So it looks like the only way i'm going to be getting playoff tickets is if I camp out in front of the ticket office on Friday hoping to get first dibs at good seats individually. It looks like every seat in the lower bowl has already been reserved for corporate sponsors and whatnot that the Heat have except for the individual season ticket holders, and if I don't pay them $6000 up front they'll just give my seats away to some company. The Heat ticket people and whatnot have just handled this entire process for playoff tickets very poorly and I know for a fact a LOT of people have complained to them about having to spend such a large amount of money up front. The Heat are just draining me financially and next year they're pretty much guaranteed to make the playoffs because of the realignment so we'll be first in the division because we have no real competition in the SouthEast division, so right there is another $6000 i'll have to pay onto of the already high season ticket regular season prices. The Marlins really have their stuff together and realize that not everyone can afford to spend such a large amount of money. I've been a Marlins season ticket holder as well for a long time now and last season they let me purchase playoff tickets on a game by game basis which worked out really well for me. I wish the Heat handled and treated their season ticket holders just as well as the Marlins do. The Marlins realize that their season ticket holders are real people, the Heat think all of their season ticket holders are big companies and whatnot so the way they treat us are very different. Oh well, I didn't really have any purpose in making this post, i'm just pretty pissed at how poorly the Heat have treated me and their expectations of their season ticket holders to spend so much money up front. A lot of the people that I sit around at Heat games are season ticket holders too so we've become good friends and they're all just as angry with the way the Heat are handling this and I know most of them aren't going to be renewing their seats for next season because of it.
Those tickets are more expensive then the Laker ones I purchased. Amazing. I paid about $5500 or $5700 for mine.

The season tickets i've got now and have had for the past few years are roughly $5250 for the entire season, however now that the Heat are actually doing well they've jacked the price up by a whopping $1500, the same seats i've had all of this season which cost $5250 are now going to cost almost $6800 for next year which is just absurd. I highly doubt i'll be renewing for next season, it's just not worth it and it's obvious the organization doesn't care about their diehard fans. The Marlins actually reduced the price of season tickets after winning the world series as a 'thank you' to all of their diehard fans, and the Heat just make the playoffs and they automatically jack up the prices. I'm proud to be a Marlins season ticket holder, I love the actual Heat team don't get me wrong, but I hate the way they deal with the public and everything of that nature. The Heat just make you feel like you're another customer of their business but the Marlins make you feel like a member of their family, sigh.
That sucks man. How can they expect guys to pay 6K?! They should at least be considerate to the loyal season ticket holders.

They make you buy the entire series for each round in advance. If I were you think of it this way, the Heat will likely be bumped in round 1 so you should be getting back 75% of your money.

So what are you planning to do Accord?

I know i'll probably get a lot of the $6000 back, but the problem is I can't afford to pay that much up front even if I do get it back because of the timing of my credit card statemets and when payments are due and whatnot.
WOW, I just got an e-mail from the Heat since i'm on their newsletter and they're have a special internet presale available only to newsletter subscribers. The offer is good for today only and playoff tickets don't go on sale for the general public until tomorrow, the offer right now ends tonight at I believe 11pm. Go to this link and you'll be able to purchase playoff tickets for the first two games, awesome seats are available, I just got section 112 row 4 seats. Here is the link: http://www.ticketmaster.com/venueartist/10...nk=tm_sports_f5 When you try to access the page for each playoff tickets you'll be prompted for a password, the password is 'rightnow' without the quotations. I just knew the Heat would come through for me in some way, because it's just ridiculous to expect people to pay $6000 to reserve playoff tickets. The funny thing is that the seats I bought through this offer in the newsletter are much better than the seats I have for my season tickets.
