Heat vs. Pistons

On ABC, looks like were off to a good start. Should be a great game..

GO HEAT!!!!

 

End of the first quarter Heat up 24-13, J-Will's playing great.

 

Miami will win the east if Wade gets it together come playoff time...the Pistons miss Ben Wallace down on the blocks down low....

 

This game means alot to both teams. Not only is it a statement game, Miami is fighting for the 3rd spot with Washington and Toronto. While we are trying to stay in 1st with Cleveland and Chicago.

 

Thats fuckin right 9-0 Pistons run, you guys gonna have to earn this one.

 

if I'm a Detroit I'm not satisified though (win or lose) this Miami team can play with Detroit without Wade...what will happen when he gets back?

Worse, if he returns next year 100% you guys will be better but if he does return this season I think he will hurt the team more then help. You bet I'm satisfied if we win (of course not if we lose) anything short of a championship would be a failure, I don't care "how" we win it even if we have to beat a Wadeless Heat.

If you have followed basketball for a while you would know It never works that way and never will. Teams minds sets are different when guys are missing from the other team. Pistons would of likely played Miami different had Wade been there. Same goes for what Pistons were without Billups and Rip, Webber which they have been over the course of the season. Pistons winning without Rip and Webber last week was proof of this.

Pistons have pretty much dominated the Heat over the years in the regular season but lost to them in the playoffs last season. This games don't mean much as It doesn't decide anything but playoff seedings.

I hope Wade comesback healthly but I fear for him with the way he plays. I'm just glad this Piston team isn't as nasty as the teams in the early 90's. If It was the odds of one of the Pistons trying to smash Wade to the ground any time he attacked the basket would be very high. Hense damaging his career or maybe worse.

 

^^but in years past Detroit had Big Ben down low, Shaq can do whatever he wants against Webber....

I think this is our year to get back to the Finals. You guys will have a tougher road to the ECF, because you guys will have to get through Cleveland. I'll eat my words if we don't come out victorious, until then I'm going to keep running my mouth and making outrageous guarantees.

He did whatever he wanted on big Ben too. At least with Webber the Pistons have a guy who can score in double fiqures from 10-20 any given night. Something that wasn't there with big Ben.

definitely a good overall post, but doesnt every detroit fan ALWAYS say that this year is their year. i hear it all the time: "oh, look at the pistons! they're gonna do it again and win the title!" i remember a certain something like that being said constantly last season. and no one gave the heat a chance last year either. i'm sure riley will use his motovational magic to push us deep into the playoffs.

Because I know tommorow is not guaranteed, and I'm fearing we may never get back to where we once were as our team gets older. I know Dumars can keep this team competing year in and year out but I think are Championship contending years are numbered. So this MUST be the year we do it.

 

We should've won this game, Posey's fould trouble really hurt us I think. I think with Kapono and Wade coming back, we are definately going to give the Pistons a run for their money.
