wow it lived up to all the hype, Chad Johson wasnt stopped but unbelieveably 190 yards to one WR isnt enough to win a game. wow i think both the Colts and the Bengals proved something. Colts that they really mean Superbowl this year and that they can play with the best, and that the Bengals are for real and can play with the best. both basically proved they are legit Superbowl contenders
The Bengals aren't gonna be superbowl contenders till they do something with their front 4, they need a 330 pounder in their somewhere all their DTs are a little small for Nose Tackle duty. That Dude out of Michigan may be their man.
<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE (FLORIDA PACKER)</div><div class='quotemain'>That Dude out of Michigan may be their man.</div> That lazy piece of crap. He had to be benched early in the year to be motivated becasuse of bad play. Gabe Watson might be a big guy but his lack of a solid work ethic hurts him in the long run. Haloti Ngata of Oregon would be a perfect fit for them but I doubt he's around after the top 20 or even 15.
Hmm you think he's the reincarnation of Cletidus Hunt? lol! I only saw him in limited action so I didn't know anything about him really, I saw him swallow up some runners and thought he was pretty good at it(at least until this past saturday!), didn't know anything about his benching though, perhaps the Bengals should pass on him though and should make an attempt to sign a big run stuffer(heck maybe even Grady Jackson if he decides not to stay).

Well, the colts proved they can outscore anyone in shootout. Good D beats Good O everytime, Bears beat colts in super bowl.
The only thing this game really showed was that cincys d is not as good as people believe it to be and that indys d is not as good as people believe it to be....it was a great game and a fun one to watch but frustrating as a bengals fan all the same...the bengals d line is terrible...though i will admit that the bears play this week has proved that the bears can be a legit playoff team, they still wont win the nfc, so they wont even get a chance to play the colts in the superbowl
Haha, underestimate the Bears at your own risk, I wouldnt fancy any team to come in Soldier Field in the middle of Winter to win a game against this bears Defense!
<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE (bakes781)</div><div class='quotemain'>Last I checked the SB is indoors. Let's just hand the Colts the lombardi trophy now.</div> Like they will get past the patriots anyway :cheesey:

Carolina was over confident and didn't take Chicago for real but if the Bears think like you they'll be luck to see round 2 of the playoffs. Not sure how good the Bucs defense was in 1999(I do think they were one of the best) but I do know the Rams #1 offense did beat them and go on and win the Super Bowl. Yeah the Rams had a solid defense but the Colts defense has played very well this year as well.

I remember. . I'm just saying everyone says a good defense beats a good offense any day when I remember other outcomes. There are examples of that being a fact and examples of that being a misused statement Example Rams vs. Bucs in the NFC Title game 5 or 6 years ago. Cincy vs. Chicago early on this season. Having the #1 defense is great and def helps you get where you want to go but it's not a sure thing to get there. Pittsburgh didn't win the Super last year. Baltimore didn't win the year before. I don't think Orton has what it takes to lead the Bears to the Super Bowl this season but if teams take the Bears light they'll be in for a big surprise.

So, even if Tampa had slightly better D, their O was so much worse. And that D did stop that O, Stl won game 13-7

Both have similar offense defenses and both have/had extremely explosive offenses. I won't give the Super Bowl to Indy right now but they are going to be tough to beat. Chicago reminds me a lot like the 99 Bucs. Got really close with a solid defense but lacks an offense. I think Chicago has a couple years with Orton and Benson/Jones and that offense and they will be knocking down the door. One really good WR might put them over the hump. I don't see them winning it this year though.
