There might be a bit of time bias involved here but it seems like there are more than a few prominent members of the MMA community calling this fight not just a classic and not just the best in LHW history, but the best MMA fight ever. Jones and Gustafsson went back and forth through five rounds. The seemingly invincible Jones was stymied in his attempts to take down and control Gustafsson, making for a give-and-take kickboxing duel that saw the champion take serious damage only to turn the fight around late in the fourth round with a thundering spinning back elbow that took the wind out of Gustafsson's sails for the remainder of the fight.
