    To all the Viking fans

This is a little lesson for you. Next monday night, the Eagles play the Vikings. When the Eagles score touchdowns (which they will do a lot on monday), you will hear the following song.

    "FLY EAGLES FLY
    ON THE ROAD TO VICTORY

    FIGHT EAGLES FIGHT
    SCORE A TOUCHDOWN..1..2...3

    HIT EM LOW
    HIT EM HIGH
    AND WATCH THE VIKINGS CRY

    FLY EAGLES FLY
    ON THE ROAD TO VICTORY

    E...A...G...L...E...S...EAGLES"

Now, I suggest that you sing a long and have a good time. If you dont, I think it might be a long and frustrating night for you, just looking out for you [IMG]

Technically, since this is an Eagles home game, the title should be "Here come the Vikings". After all, the Eagles are going nowhere (literally speaking, and maybe even figuratively), the Vikings are bringing the fight to your front door.

I think we will see the following things from this game:

    1. The Vikings will expose the Eagles defense horribly
    2. Moss will have over 200 yards receiving and 2 TD's
    3. O. Smith will gain over 100 yards rushing
    4. Minnesota's secondary will have another poor week giving up 350 passing yards.
    5. T.O. will be good, but not as good, scoring one TD.

Why will Moss have such a big game? Monday Night Football. T.O. Moss has a ton of motivation for this game and loves to show his stuff on National TV.

    My prediction:

    Minnesota 42
    Eagles 32

VF, when was the last time a Jim Johnson's coached defense given up over 40 points??? Not as long as he's been with the eagles, I can tell you that. So, 42 points is a bit much dont you think???

I think that both teams are in for a letdown, after having a huge offensive week 1. Thats why I almost think that the game will be a low scoring affair, meaning both teams scoring in the mid-to-low 20's.

    My prediction:

    Eagles 27 Vikings 24

Just in case you forgot, here's the boxscore from the last time these 2 teams played

    http://dev.philadelphia.comcastsportsnet.c...1_11_01_box.asp

    48-17

And thats without TO, Westbrook, LJ Smith. Man, I might have to change my prediction.

Just don't forget to sing the song..

    FLY EAGLES FLY
    ON THE ROAD TO VICTORY

    FIGHT EAGLES FIGHT
    SCORE A TOUCHDOWN..1..2...3

    HIT EM LOW
    HIT EM HIGH
    AND WATCH THE VIKINGS CRY

    FLY EAGLES FLY
    ON THE ROAD TO VICTORY

    E...A...G...L...E...S...EAGLES

It will be a good game, I can't wait! Philly is my second team since I've spent some time there for school and they were all I could watch. I think it will be a very close game. You are right that both teams are in for a letdown. I think the Vikings are a better team, but playing in Philly is tough. The only way the Vikes can win is if they jump to an early lead and take the crowd out of it. If they don't do that, then I see them trading scores and the Eagles ending up with the win. Either 35-31 Vikes or 31-28 Eagles.

Unless the Eagles take the Vikings out of their rythm early, I think the Vikings will just tear up the Eagle's secondary. Also, O. Smith didn't actually have that great of a game. Considering that Sunday was basically his preseason, I expect him to have a better game against the Eagles.

A bit of advice for you. Instead of worrying about us learning your cute little song, you may want to get on your knees and start reciting this medeival Catholic prayer:

"Deliver us, O Lord, from the Fury of the Northmen."

The only thing that will be torn on Next monday night is Randy Moss's ego when TO has more yards, and TD's then him. And when DMAC has a better performance then Culpepper, showing once and for all who is the best QB-WR combo in the league. And who was the best QB 99 draft.

I will leave it to you to make the bold predictions. If you are right, then you will be hailed as a sage. If you are wrong, then nothing more than a fool.

Here is to hoping that you are a fool.

Yeah, but Moss will have more passing yards (on the season, if not the game).
