Was I the only one who found the season premier confusing as hell? Particularly the last 15 minutes or so?
It's my first season watching, and I'm only really watching because my girlfriend loves the show so I figure I should try to like the stuff she likes (We agreed that this means she has to watch Laker games). I found that they tried to jam too much into the two episodes. There was alot of moving around to the different subplots, but not enough time spent with each separate subplot. I may not know as much because I haven't watched the first two seasons, therefore maybe that is where my confusion is coming from. But I felt that too much was going on at once. I also think (personal opinion alert) that using time travel as a superpower is silly. Not that its a bad power, it's a great one you know, but it leaves so many questions to be asked and answered. Personally, if I knew someone could control time, why not go back, kill the dude, and move on. That and if you do decide to change the past and future, new things would happen (kinda like the future Peter[?] who came back and shot his brother for the sake of the future, which then led to all this bullshit). Sorry, it's been awhile since I watched TV shows that had a story that progressed for a season. I usually only watch Laker games or shows on Food Network (for the food).
I find time travel plots in sci fi to be some of the most annoying of all time too. I generally like Heroes in spite of the time travel stuff, not because of it. One tiny example--Hiro could have easily gone back in time 10 second before the formula was stolen and just taken the formula from himself instead. Really, if you have the ability to control time, you can Groundhog Day your way through life, making sure every single thing you do is done perfectly. Which would get a little tedious, for both the character and the viewer.
It was solid but it's a huge cast with lots of subplots going so it's easy to get confused. How about the black dude who can use your fears to fuel his powers! A future Peter is just as much of a fuck-up as is "i woke up and i don't know who i am peter" Also, someone needs to take Hero down a peg.
Darn it I missed Heroes first episode. I see it is shown again this Sunday. I thought the first season of Heroes was great but I wasn't that crazy about last year. I was going to give Heroes another chance again this year and hope it gets better.
Can't you watch it online....right now?! (Sorry I just thought I'd make my statement semi-suspenseful) I fail.
That's true and I would if it wasn't being broadcasted again this Sunday. I rather watch it on my 52" HDTV then my small computer monitor if I have the choice. I now have it also setup to record on my DVR. So, I won't miss anymore.
I don't watch this show, but I do watch other NBC shows. If you go to NBC.com and search for videos you should be able to find it posted online.
That works both ways, my friend. My favorite show on television is "Holmes on Homes". They're not showing it in the States anymore, but all the new episodes are on HGTV.ca. But can someone with a US IP address watch them? Nooooooooo. C'mon Canada, Make It Right!
I would glady trade you Mike Holmes for Hayden "wow, too young" Panettiere. And that is the first time I've ever heard someone be envious about Canadian TV, well maybe Trailor Park Boys but that's it. -somebody must live close to the border.
The stupid Comcast DVR screwed me. I checked (I thought) to ensure it would record it. Then I watched Prison Break. Unfortunately, the DVR only recorded to ridiculous "preview event" hour from 8 to 9... NOT from 9 to 10. So I caught the last hour and, to be honest, wasn't really paying much attention because I started playing Spore and it was a bit addictive. Ed O.
