It's safe to say that Shaun Alexander is going to get his long term contract by either the end of the season and I know because the Seahawks knows that if he wasn't here this season, they wouldn't even be near 7-2 and Alexander wouldn't have the great season that he has so far.

Here's something you might have known but didn't really know. Shaun Alexander scores and has a higher average per game than the Ravens entire team does.

Why sign a 29 year old running back to a long term deal? Makes no sense to me. Get somebody with fresh legs.

Have you seened him play? It makes perfect sense. He might be the league MVP this season. You have to take a sure thing over gamble in my opinion. He's shown no signs of slowing down. He hasn't been injury proned. He's like the opposite of Ahman Green right now.

I half agree, try and get him in long term deal, that has a point where you can cut him in cap friendly way in 3 years, or keep him if he is still productive

I think that he should recieve a long term deal. I would give it to him right after season is over.

If Shaun Alexander hit the free agent market, he could get a lot more than in seattle

I think he should play in Pittsburgh so we could have back to back Super Bowl rings.... again.
