It's gonna happen again. Can't wait to see the fat Laker fans in their TJ Maxx Laker replica jerseys streaming for the exits early in the 4th once again.

I have a sinking feeling that the Lakers will beat us...I hope I am wrong.

Have some faith. Outside of Dallas (which has some weird hex over us), when was the last time a Western Conference playoff team beat us in Portland?

[hint: it was before our current President was inaugurated]

P.S. All of those victims have been blown out.

The Lakers beat reporter said two of the potential reasons the Lakers don't play well in Portland are:

    1) The rainy, wet weather. Makes their bones creaky.

    2) The Nike Store. Too much of a distraction.

    Please.

So, who wants to pull up in front of the Benson and offer free rides out to Beaverton?

I love the confidence, but we're going to get their best shot tonight. The one thing we can't afford to do is to start off slow again. They're going to look to come out quick with a ton of energy and try to take the crowd out of the game. I don't want to see us fall behind by double digits. If we can come out agressively we can put some early doubt in their minds.

Happy to. Although I might take the scenic route through Ashland.

The idea that somehow they are going to be more motivated for this one than the last SEVEN times they couldn't get the job done in Portland is interesting.

But I do agree with you that we can't start slow.

But I also think that this game is going to go how WE dictate it to go. If the Blazers come out focused and execute well, there's no way the Lakers beat us in Portland. Their only hope is for the Blazers to get nervous or complacent. Which could happen I suppose.

I'm really excited for this game. Both teams will be going at it, and they clearly don't like each other.

It has really been impressive how the Blazers have played lately at home, against the top teams in the West... Absolute domination.

hahaha.. so true. This game is going to be intense, and the RG is going to be as loud as ever I think. I'm glad I got tickets to this.
There's no doubt in my mind we'll win, between our players knowing our hatred for LA, being at home, and the Lakers being on the second night of a back to back.

We've already blown them out, but I'd like to break their spirits and beat them in a close game.

Doesn't it feel great to have a group of players who truly dislike the individuals on the L*kers?

That's a great point. Thanks for helping to allay some of my fears.
