Some of the pictures in this article are crazy (assuming that they're real). I don't think I have much of a fear of heights, but the one of the guy sitting on top of Seahawks stadium makes me reconsider that. http://blog.seattlepi.com/thebigblo...e-climber-on-top-of-space-needle-centurylink/
Speculation that the kid who electrocuted himself on the high-voltage tower last month was trying something like this.
Ever heard of "free climbing" or "free soloing"? I think I've posted a vid or two about Alex Honnold, who I saw on Real Sports and 60 Minutes. This guy just blew my mind. The guy climbs ridiculous mountain faces without hooks and ropes... just his hands, feet, and a bag of chalk... no parachutes, no nets... just himself, more than a thousand feet up on a mountain in all sorts of weather conditions facing certain death if he slips. Pretty crazy stuff - Just watched the video again and some of the dialogue makes my stomach wrench - a little before 9 minutes... "That's the point of no return... the only way off is up." or "Sometimes when other climbers hear what you've been doing, they say it's unsustainable, which really is their code for 'you can't keep doing this and stay alive."
