Bought a 12 month state park parking pass today, trying to get out into nature more. Let me know if any of you would want to join some time. Would be fun to walk the trails and shoot the shit about the Blazers.

Where are you guys' favorite hiking spots?

I'm starting out easy-moderate before I get into off trail hikes.

I decided to use a gift card I had for bestbuy and have them do it.

I'll update more detail in that thread tomorrow.

My favorite hike is the Ape Caves at Mt St Helens. You can't use your parking pass but it is fucking amazing. Bring STRONG flashlights. Multiple flashlights. And rent a lantern from the ranger station if you don't have one.

Eagle Creek Trail was dope. Probably kinda charcoal-y for the foreseeable future though.

    Seven falls outside of Woodburn.

Honestly. Some trails in forest park rock. But can be congested.
I know a lot more hiking trails up north of Seattle though. Not as much around here.

If you're doing it on a week day and you're not a two legged mountain goat kinda hiker, I'd probably be down for a (easy/moderate) day hike before the rains settle in......

Everything on the Skyline trail is worthy. Too late in the year now though.

I did, Breitenbush to Marion Forks via Mt Jefferson and Marion lake once.
Another great one, Three Creeks Lake trail head to Elk lake via Broken top and the Three Sisters.
One word fits both hikes, awesome!

You need someone to drop you off and pick up though.
