Oct 29 - Rookie big man Herbert Hill, the No. 55 overall pick, is out for at least 6 to 8 weeks. He is scheduled to undergo surgery tomorrow by Dr. James Andrews in Birmingham, Ala., for a torn meniscus in his left knee.

The 6-10 Hill, the Big East's Most Improved Player award-winner last season at Providence, had been the surprise of training camp and the preseason.
