Including Phil and Houston management? That would've been a match made in heaven. Phil's typical team was a good team on the verge, which was exactly what Houston was at the time and still are...I don't remember exactly when, but I do think their was a point a couple years back where the job was open and Jackson could've jumped in. Instead he went back to the Lakers to soil his record and roll around in mediocrity, while the Rockets have been underachieving for the past...ever since they got T-Mac. Doesn't everyone wish he had gone to Houston to work with Yao and Mcgrady? Except SW division fans like me ?
Houston doesn't feel like a Phil Jackson kind of team to me. I'm not sure why. Not to say they couldn't have won, but I think Jackson would probably want McGrady to defer and play more of a point role, and I don't have night in, night out faith in Yao, since he gets tired so quickly.
