Hines Ward is in the last year of his contract, and is the 37th highest paid reciever. He has been to 4 pro bowls, and says that he wont report if he doesnt get a new contract.

I'm beginning to wonder why players sign contracts for more than 2 years.

He deserves new contract. Agents do that to inflate value of contract for front page most of time. Ungaruanteed contract is 2-way, if team doesnt have to honor neither should player

Hine Ward is the man and the Steelers should give him what he wants. He didnt make the holdout a huge deal at the media like TO. Basically he told Cowher that he wants a new contract and that info leaked into the media

He's been wanting a new contract for a couple seasons now and has reported every year despite this. So I think it's time he gets one and from what I heard Pittsburgh is all for giving him a better contract. I mean it's not like he is only a year into a deal.

He had to be convinced last season to go to camp by Cowher, and he did because he thought he would get a new contract.

Hines Ward defintly deserves a new contract

Hines Ward was offered a contract with a 8 million dollar signing bonus and turned it down.

SF has reappeared. I'm shocked as well.

Fact; HW is worth more & deserves more than TO.

I hope he sits out the year. More of a reason for my Ravens to win the divsion. Actually he does deserve it though.

The Steelers will give him the money. He is a top 5 WR and he deserves to get pay like it
