    Hinrich earning raves for defense.

It sounds silly to say that Hinrich played good defense on Allen Iverson in Thursday's loss to Philadelphia, given that Iverson scored 35 points and drained a jumper over Hinrich with 47.2 seconds left for the game-winning points.

But Iverson had only four fourth-quarter points and hit the game-winning shot because he's an All-Star. Hinrich didn't bite for a pump fake and had a hand in Iverson's face as he shot.

Granted, the Bulls were running Iverson into help defense. And Iverson didn't force shots, taking only four in the fourth. But a close study of Hinrich from that game revealed a player who doesn't bite on fakes, who keeps his eyes glued on his opponent's midsection and then utilizes his quickness to keep pace.

"Everybody knows that tool, especially against a quick guy who uses a lot of fakes like Iverson," Hinrich said. "The midsection is what you focus on because you don't want to go one way and your shorts go the other way.

"I think I do an OK job of sliding my feet and keeping my man in front. That was stressed to me from an early age, and so far, I've been able to play OK defense here."

Admittedly, I have yet to watch a Bulls game thus far this season, but from what I keep reading, Hinrich is a good defender. This is good news for us, since Crawford isn't known for being anything resembling a good defender(see; Jalen Rose).

how can you post all this stuff about the bulls and have "Go Bulls" in your sig and not have watched them?

    Doesn't make sense!

anyway, yes, Hinrich's defense is great. He's going to be great. I'm glad he has this opportunity!

Hinrich is a GREAT defender. Crawford actually played some good D against San Antonio, but we lost [IMG]

Yeah, tough game. 3rd in a row.

I do like Hinrich's defense. You can tell he had a good coach in college. (Roy Williams)

Well, buddy. It's really hard to capture exactly what a team is doing WITHOUT WATCHING THEM.

There's the "logic" It's hard to note much progress by a team/player without watching them. Hinrich's defense will not show up in the stat line. The only way you know anything is reading papers or various articles online? Maybe having your own opinion is not optional, I dont know. Call me crazy.

I was trying to understand you thats all, not trying to get into a pissing contest.

Just bec. I haven't watched a game doesn't mean I haven't seen them play, 'buddy.'

An NBA game consists of 4 12 minute quarters. I haven't watched a game.

Why haven't I? Because as of this very moment, I am w/o DirecTV since we are in the process of remodeling our basement. Once it is done, I assure you I will be watching (entire) games.
