Who's the better PG. I think on defense Billups is overrated and get's alot of help from the best shotblocker in the game. So I'd have to Hinrich is better. And his stats aren't quite as good as Billups but he has less offensive weapons. So I'm not sure who's the better PG.Who would you guys take?
Chauncey is better on every level. Better defense, better shooting, better passing, better leadership. I hate how the Pistons get dissed on because Ben is "swatting shots" and at the same time people called Ben an overrated defender.
Ben is not an overrated defender - but Billups is on a different level than Hinrich is - this thread is an insult to Billups

Back on topic, Billups is better then Hinrich at everything. Hes an MVP candidate (already won Finals MVP) and is just flat out better. Hinrich has hardly improved since he came into the NBA while Chauncey has developed into a very good player. This isn't really a far comparison, maybe something like Chauncy and Nash or Jason Kidd is a bit more fair.
I'm going to have to give the edge to Chauncey Billups. He can be very clutch with his free throws and threes. He is a great shooter and a very pure PG. Hinrich is a great player though, but he is not up to Billups' level. Though billups' vision of passing isnt fancy, its defintely there because he is a great team player. Hinrich is as well, but Billups is more consistant. Non-biasedly speaking of course.
Eh, guess it wasn't time. Kirk has been rising through the league and his defense IMO is underrated and he's a future all star.Since Ben got traded recently I thought maybe I should pull out this comparison, guess it's a total blowout...

His value is in controlling the paint, and making it hard for the other teams slashers to get into the lane and make shots easily. As far as that goes, there is no one better at controlling the paint and anchoring a defenser for an entire game than Ben Wallace right now. As for the topic, i am going to agree with everyone else and say that this really is an insult to Billups. Billups in my eyes is in the top one or two point guards in the league right now, Hinrich isn't close yet.
Its not that big of an insult, its not like Hinrich is a Horrible player and Billiups is the best point guard to ever play the game.Billiups is surrounded by veterans who consistently hit their shots while hinrich is still playing with young guys who have yet to establish their game

He has so much more skill and leadership. He's the type of player who keeps everyone involved but can take over a game when it's needed. I mean the guy does so much. He can be a leader, playmaker, good 3 point shooter, great passer, good defender, very clutch. He does so much. Hinrich is not even close to Billups level yet. Anyone who says different has got the be either the biggest Chauncey hater ever or a huge biased Bulls fan. Look Im not saying Hinrich is bad. Hes shown a lot of talent but he is still young and just isn't on the same level as Billups
Billups is better cuz hes a veteran. but i have a feeling Hinrich can reach his level mainly because he has Scott Skiles as a coach. Skiles was a great PG.
You've got to be kidding me.Chauncey-better scorer-better shooter-better passer-better rebounder-better basketball IQ-better defender-championshipHinrich-???
^^ Exactly, like most have said this is an insult to Chauncy i cant even think of whats close enough to comparehave you noticed all the chicago fans think its close and say he could be better? just funny
