power struggle? from B. Smith Leiweke, CEO of Vulcan Sports, resigns to join NHL's Tampa Bay Lightning as CEO and part owner.
I'm sure Paul Allen's main concern is more money to give away when he dies, not achieving a long elusive goal of an NBA championship.

Interesting tidbit from Brian Smith: More KP fallout? http://www.columbian.com/weblogs/blazerbanter/2010/jul/26/ch-ch-ch-changes-pritchard-penn-williams-demopolou/
Interesting. If true, it does add fuel to the fire on the notion that KP/Penn lost a power struggle with Miller and/or Nate. Not a *good* reason to fire KP, but at least a realistic scenario.
Now wait a second. Penn was a serial sexual harasser, and KP was a glory hog who took credit for Steve Patterson's wonderful and brilliant moves. That's my story, and I'm sticking to it, no matter how much sense your post makes to me!
Leiweke got the credit that Whitsitt deserved. Bob's players got to the Superbowl. Dismantle his roster and look where it gets you.
