Want a hobby that will suck hours, days, years of your life . . . Golf. I have not found a more challenging "sport" and unlike other sports where you can use adrenaline and being pissed off to raise your game, it doesn't work for most in golf. (Hell I won't drink coffee before golf). And the amount of time I waste practicing my golf swing or reading tips to lower my score . . . don't play golf if you have any OCD in you.
Posting on message boards. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . Also, photography, central Oregon coast, hot tubing, beating down ABM...
dude, golf is great in a rip your hair out kind of way. Buy a beginner set of clubs ($200-250)and go to the driving range. Only hit your pitching wedge and maybe a 7 iron. Learn the basic swing and go to a short course.
oh jesus christ man...get into golf then! Take a lesson or two to get the basics (more if you can afford it) or go with a friend who somewhat knows what they are doin
I bought a new set of clubs from Play It Again Sports for I think 99 dollars. Not the greatest set ever, for sure, but for as much as I sucked, the clubs were better than I am , for sure. of course, I never play,
My friend and I once played 18 holes with only a seven iron. From driving to putting, only one club (kind of like a speed golf round). Sad thing is my score wasn't much different from when I have my whole bag. And the idea of trying to buy a good game (bunch of fancy and expensive clubs). . . doesn't work.
