Hoeneß: Bayern Better Than The National Team

Never one to shy away from a headline grabbing opportunity, Bayern manager Uli Hoeneß has claimed that his side is better than the German national XI.

Bayern are currently dominating the Bundesliga with a dazzling style of football driven by stars like Franck Ribéry and Luca Toni.

The German national side are also enjoying a period of domination as they march seemingly unhindered towards qualification for Euro 2008. They are unbeaten in their last 18 games.

To the question as to which is the better side- Hoeneß answers quite emphatically Bayern!

“I believe it would be very difficult for the national side to beat Bayern in their current form” the year 55 old announced.

President Franz Beckenbauer is also convinced. “FC Bayern is strong enough to beat the national team” he claimed.

“However I have to say that they richly deserve their current success under Joachim Löw. They are the only side to have kept up their level of play since the World Cup.”

Well i think top 4 prem clubs could beat England. You think Mclaren only has English players to mould whereas Wenger, Ferguson, Benitez etc can get any nationality they want.

Who do you say wins England vs Germany, at this current time, with the players they have.

I'd have to choose Germany myself.

The English National team isn't that greatanyway, so quite a few Prem sides could beat them down I'm sure.

As for Germany not as good as Bayern? They've got to be dreaming. The German National team would whipe the floor with the newly pinned bikini boys!

Well, look closely at the bottom stripe of the new Bayern kit. The way it is shaped when players wear the kit untucked makes it look like they're wearing a bikini.

You haven't played FM before? Go pre-order at Amazon.com for $30 as it releases October 23 in the US under the name Worldwide Soccer Manager 2008. You can also download the demo, which is actually always really good. The demos they release are usually quite detailed and give you a nice introductory experience, but make sure to download the right version for your computer as one is far larger then the other.

I'm going to pre-order mine soon as you'll be hard-pressed to find it in a store in the States unless you live near a Fry's Electronics and are possibly willing to wait a few months.

I would never get the game for a console as it has a lot less in terms of features including no editor program that allows you to do as you wish to the game. Unless you don't have a decent PC or Mac then get it for a console, otherwise you're getting massively ripped in what you're paying for, dude. Remember that there aren't that many licensed teams like Germany, so you'll be playing with no Bayern logo or jersey available to view. While on the PC you can download or create mods with Photoshop like I do. There are plenty of sites out there to find great downloads that are easy to install.

So does fifa 08 have licensed teams?

Thanks that you told me ahead, haha, I won't get it for the 360 if it doesn't have current jerseys. You're right, its not worth it.

Yeah, FIFA has the most licensed teams due to EA. However, that is changing since FM and Winning Eleven are now making more money then the FIFA series. Also note that FIFA don't do a good job on their kits. There are often pretty bad mistakes and wrong crests. As for FM again, get it for PC dude. I can hook you up with all the licensed logos, jerseys, etc. I make many of them myself like I've shown you in the FIFA 08 thread. What you do is just resize them to 130 x 130 and they fit nicely into your FM game. I will set up packs though, so all you have to do is just plop folders into your FM08 folder, turn on your game and refreshand you're ready to go.
