    The Cardinals tonight regain a familiar face as Skip Schumaker returns to second base following a six-week stay on the disabled list. However, the NL Central leaders will miss left fielder Matt Holliday for a second consecutive game due to lingering discomfort stemming from a quadriceps strain.

    Manager Tony La Russa has installed Jon Jay in left field against San Diego Padres righthander Dustin Moseley.
