The rockets summer league roster this year includes former Oklahoma guard Hollis Price and former kentcuky forward Chuck Hayes, and since i dont know much about the Rockets, does either of these former college standouts have any chance at making the team?
Auno about Hollis Price but he was really good in college. I was sad to see him not drafted. Hope he makes a team.
theres no way I see Price making the team...we are loaded at the guard spots...Hayes has more of a chance but hes undersized, and if he does make it, it'll only be as an injured-list participant...but I myself dont see either of them making the squad for next season...
I don't know much about Hollis Price. However, here's a thread regarding Chuck Hayes as a Rocket. In my opinion, he's too short to make much of an impact on the team- I mean really, a 6'6 powerforward isn't going to cut it. Can anyone explain who Hollis is? All I know is that he had a pretty good college career but just sort of disappeared.
Hollis Price was an excellent scorer and main reason for his team's success in college...very quick and took his man off the dribble easy, reliable J and a good shooter from outside. However he was very lacking in the traditional PG skills. The knock on him is that he's not a good passer and lacks court vision...and with his small size many scouts simply dismissed him. So bascially if he wants to make the team he has to prove that in his time off he made a quantum leap in traditional PG skills.
I always wondered what happened to Price.......I always wanted him in a Rockets uniform.....not sure if he still has game, but he was great in college.
