I have the #2 overall pick in the draft and, because I live in Wisconsin, odds are the #1 overall pick will be Ahman Green. Quite honestly, if the guy at #1 takes Holmes or Tomlinson, I'll probably take Ahman Green. Anyway...assuming he takes Green and both Holmes and Tomlinson are available, which one should I take and why? I worry about Holmes because of his age and injury history, even though last year was a fantastic year. I keep waiting for the wheels to fall off. Tomlinson concerns me because of the big contract he just signed and because the Chargers just totally suck as a whole. What do I do here? I'm really hoping I get to pick Green.
I would pick LT, even over Green, but I try to avoid Packer players as a whole...don't like having to root for certain players to do well. Anyway, all offseason I've been saying LT is the man. Will get the carries and the passes. I don't think you can go wrong with Holmes, either though. A sleeper, IMO is Deuce McAllister. He's going to go high, yes, but he kinda get left out after Holmes, Green, and LT. He's going to earn some fantasy points this year.
As much as I love LT for what he did for me last year I'd take Priest the Beast. The guy had 27 TDs last year. Ride those wheels while u still can. If this were a keeper league it would b a different story.
LT strictly because of age. He is the Chargers offense, so... I have nothing against Priest Holmes who is the vital cog in KC's offense but am having real issues w/ former U Texas RB's right now.

LT, hes the Chargers only real option, hes gonna carry the ball 350+ times(likely for about 2000 yards), and hes gonna catch it 80-110 times....hes the man...
Everyone loves LT but they seem to forget that Priest caught 74 balls as well last year and his TD's will dwarf LT's because he has no passing game to help get him in the redzone....Priest all the way. Also I think all these carries/catches are gonna catch up with LT real fast so I honestly think he is now as much of an injury hazard as Holmes....shit he probably has more mileage on his legs than holmes since holmes didn't play forever it seems.
LT on age and situation. Plus, Brees looked good to open the season. Maybe Rivers won't be the starter?!? Holmes is a bust waiting to happen... ie injury....

It seems like that will become more common with RBs putting up 1800 yard seasons(Green, Williams). LT if he stays healthy will rush for 19000 yards in his career.
Holmes worked out ok for me last year when everyone was afraid to pick him. Of course, I am a little biased. I am also the defending champ!
