I would say what History channel had since we were watching a movie on the top 100 most influential, but we never finished it.
Religious figures are good, so I would definitely put in some of those: Jesus, Mohammed, maybe even Pope John Paul if you can forward a good argument.Isaac Newton is HUGE. Ben Franklin, Edison, and even Albert Einstein pale in comparison to him. He laid the groundwork for physics. Most people just know him as "the apple guy," but he did so much more than that. I suggest you put him in. Stalin is another big one... people don't realize that he deported millions of Jews and other ethnic groups and murdered many others. Copernicus and Darwin are a couple other good scientists to put on there.
Defiently the religious figures, but maybe Alexander the Great, Emperor Constantine...Shakespeare is a good one also, him and the religious works are the basics of Literature.
Jesus, Moses, Mohammed would all be on the list, because weather fact or fiction their infulance is felt today. Others; Charlesmagne, William the Conqueror, Adolph Hitler, Julius Caesar, the first Guru(I forget his name) Budda, Alexander the Great.

You could consider Woodrow Wilson, he presented the League of Nations...even though it failed miserably, it was the basis of the United Nations which has probably resolved alot more stuff than we realize.
btw, Shakespeare was during the Renaissance, so you can still use him. If you use him and Wilson, you only have 1 more...although theres probably something better than Wilson out there.

FDR didnt influence the world, Yeah US, but Wilson had a bigger impact on the world than FDR.But like I said, theres probably somebody better than FDR and Wilson.
