And general JBB posters Thought I would drop by. My work has been so tough this summer I have found no time to post or give my views on the Pistons or the league in general Losing big Ben really sucks and Is still hard to think about but at the end of the day life goes on and the way Ben played in the playoffs this past year It is clear that he is on his way down in his career and losing him now isn't anywhere near as bad as It would of been 2 or 3 years ago. I'm more down about Darko not being around anymore than I do about Ben. As for this summer moves trying to make up for the Ben Wallace loss ugh.......ok not terrible Nazr will help and is at least a decent replacement at center. We could of done a whole lot worse. Nazr can at least score a little bit and clocks the paint quite well and rebounds. Flip Murray although I'm not really a huge fan with how inconsistant he can be..lets face It...we needed scoring in the worse way. We had no choice but to try and sign him. He will at least help our bench. Him and Dice will be the main guys off the bench instead of just Dice. Sheed really needs to step up his game and become more of a scoring option downlow If we are to do better than making the conference finals. Think we can expect the same kind of production out of Chauncey and Rip. I expect Tay to improve in most areas. He is the bright spot of our future. As should Delfino, If freaking Flip plays him. Overall Miami are the team to beat in the east and still would be no matter what moves the Pistons or any other team made this summer. They are the champs and have the two superstars leading their attack. They do need to try and upgrade their roster somehow though If they want to repeat. Outside of Miami I don't really think any other east team can say they are certainly better than the Pistons. Bulls have a bright future but are at least 1 or 2 years away from contending and by then Ben will be on the downside of his career.
Just curious on your opinions about Delfino; What are the best and worse case scenerios for himself and the team if Flip plays him regularly off the bench?
I dont really know who you are but you seem like a pretty cool guy. Plus your a Pistons fan. Welcome back
sheed really needs to step it up if the pistons want to contend. Also i see ben leaving as a good thing for tay. i think he will explode this year and maybe lead the team in scoring like he did in the playoffs.
