Gorton cannot be fooled right now. My guess is we'll be in playoff position/range come trade DL time (similar to right now), but Gorton needs to deal off and focus on future. This is not a legit SC team. In the NHL playoffs anything can happen, but barring a very unexpected longshot run this team would be 1 or 2 and done. Gorton has to know that and sell at the DL and look towards next season despite the fact that I expect us to clearly be in the mix come DL time. So this will be a huge test for Gorton, and he should do what Cashman and the Yanks did last season, sell and take one step back to take two steps forward the following season. Please step up Jeff and be real about this breaking down/terrible in their own zone team.
