Well, the game plan was shot to heck when Baron missed, and Jamal's excellent play has been overtaken by his rust that he somehow put off for three games. Jamal Mashburn, that is. Jamaal Magloire played like the All Star that he is(he was just named to the 2004 ASG as a reserve center) by slamming down 22 points and 13 rebounds, but it wasn't enough in the absence of Davis, who was also named to the 04 mid season classic.

Hornets just don't play well through injury. Magloire really isn't much of a scoring option, but he had to last night to prevent further embarrassment when Mashburn couldn't score.

Well, to a degree. Almost the entire past two and a half season, they've been missing either Mash or Baron, and right now they're missing Wesley to boot. I don't think that any team plays well through missing most of their key players. Last night Magloire and Armstrong really stepped up, but I agree that more of their remaining guys could have stepped up their games.

Yes, serious props to Cat. He's really matured from the reserve center that used to only contribute a couple minutes a game.

Terrible I didn't see the game. I'm always saddened to see the Hornets lose, especially since Baron is injured anyway. Beating a team that isn't at full strength. Great for the Nets though, they've been in a real slump this season so I'm always glad when they pull in a win. At least they aren't doing as bad as the Magic are. Congratulations everybody, good try, good game. You'll do better next time.
