Injury Lists Cavaliers Dajuan Wagner DeSagana Diop Hornets Jamal Mashburn James Lang Keys To The Game Cleveland - The key is to try and contain Baron Davis with a double teams and traps all night long. You must keep a hand in his face at all times. Don't allow players like David Wesley and Darrell Armstrong to shoot open 3 point shots. Box out P.J. Brown and Jamaal Magloire to control the glass. Attack the basket, make your freethrows, be relentless savages on both ends of the court. New Orleans - LeBron James is on a lava-like tear of late and you must come in trying to disrupt his rhythm. Getting the ball out of his hands will be key, especially come the 4th quarter. Carlos Boozer seems to be having problems holding onto the basketball, so every time he touches it I slap away at the ball. Eric Williams and Tony Battie are the spark plugs off the bench, so keeping a body on them after they check in is important. The King's Take Good test for the Cavaliers here, they always play pretty well at home, I just have to give the edge to the Hornets here in a close one. I demand that the crowd shows some sort of appreciation for what James has done over this last week. Gund Arena is one of the most quiet arenas in the NBA, and that sickens me. The Cavs having been playing really well lately so I think this will be a good game. However I see Hornets edging this one...Baron Davis will come up in the clutch I feel.
newble starting agian i like our chances this game kedrick hopefully will play good d like he is playing ever since he came here and contain baron. I hope someone steps up and gets the scoring load off james a little.
... I'm not worried as much about Davis as I am Wesley. Davis is going to get his 20-25 points, but we can't let Wesley do the same. Wesley always kills the Cavs, so we need someone to hound him all night and not let him get open looks at 3s. Thats easier said than done, but hopefully Kedrick will be up to the task. Boozer has a tough match up with PJ Brown. Boozer gets a lot of rebounds, but he has struggled all year playing D. The same goes with Z, so I look for Battie to get some big minutes playing against Brown/Magloire who can both score. This is a big game for the Cavs who are coming off of back to back road wins and have Orlando and Chicago on the schedule after tonight's game. A win tonight and dare I think of a 5 game winning streak? It will be close and if the Cavs can get someone to step up on the offensive side other than LBJ and Z I think they can win. I think Williams goes for 15+ giving us the boost we need. Cavs by 5.
This game is going to go down to the wire only if both teams let it. If both teams stop the other team from going on 8-0 runs and stuff like that then the game will be a close one. I say the Cavs by 8. They've been playing fair the last 2 games and should play well tonight. I see their winning streak go from 2 to 3
I think that LeBron will score 30+ again tonight and the Cavs will win by 9. Oh and Boozer will have a 20-20 game tonight.

He is also getting very careless with the basketball. Silas benched him crunch time against the Bulls, let's hope that gets Carlos mean again. PS: Welcome to JBB Amherstcavsfan!
Win or lose i am just looking for solid defense lebron to get off and for us to show toughness and improvement for the future. We are a young team still but very talented.

Hornets lead 27/21 after one George Lynch hit a deep 3 to end the 1st. James has 6, 3, and 2, with a steal. Boozer has 4 and 5. Baron Davis has 10 on 5-5 shooting ----------
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting dinohackerzero:</div><div class="quote_post">Baron Davis is on fire!! If this goes on, Hornets by 9</div> Somebody needs to cool him down. Cavs need a win
Hornets lead 52/40 @ the half Terrible effort by the Cavs, turnovers, lack of attacking the basket, and no aggressive defense. Davis has 18 James 4, 4, and 2 Boozer, 9 and 8 ----------
Hopefully, this isn't what we have to expect when Lebron plays poorly. Defense was pitiful. Hornets were making layups and uncontested mid range shots all half. Davis has 18 points, but at least a dozen came from 5 feet or closer to the hoop. He is not a good % shooter so we need to force him to shoot from the outisde. Bremer plays 13 minutes while Ollie and Williams only play 4? Silas up to his questionable rotation tricks again...
The Hornets have done a great job at taking LeBron out of this ball game, they are trapping him (as it was a key I listed ) Just sloppy play, terrible shooting. They are just not spreading the floor and giving James space either, 2 times he has ran into the back of Z. It drives me crazy when they stand still like this and walk the ball up the court. You would think after 2 games with Denver they would learn something about hustle. ---------- 70/66 Hornets at the end of the 3rd Cavs were down 14, they came back to make it as close as 2 James has 15, 5, and 2 Boozer has 13 and 11 Z has 8 and 9 Davis has 22, 3, and 3 ---------- Tied up at 72! Timeout NO 4th Qtr 8:52 ---------- 4th Qtr 5:47 Cavs up 77/76 (were just up 5) Eric Williams is stepping up big time ---------- Cavs up 82/76 4th Qtr 2:56 I must credit LeBron James for stealing the ball 2 times in a row from Baron Davis. ---------- Cavs win 97/86! James had 22, 6, and 2, with 6 steals Boozer had 17, 14, and 2 Williams had 16, 3, and 3 Battie had 11 and 8 Full story and box coming soon! ----------
Lebron became huge agian in the 4th quarter sealed up another victory 3 game win streak for the cavs.
awesome win. Lebron really stepped up in the 4th quarter. the guy showed alot of heart to keep battling despuite being doubled a ton. Much better team with out ricky and with the 3 new guys playing better D in my estimation. were still a few years away but wow do we have a bright future.
