The Hornets suffered a brutal loss that has most likely eliminated them from post-season contention, but Byron Scott wants his team to finish on a roll as they take on the Rockets tonight. Houston(50-29) are 0-3 this season against the Hornets(37-42). The Rockets are also seeking to stay at the sixth seed in the West and hold off the Jazz.Season Series: Hornets lead 3-0Key Matchup: Marc Jackson Vs Yao Ming
It's interesting that the Hornets lead the series against the Rockets because of Houston's nice record and their superstars in Yao and T-mac. :dribble: It is a very key game for the Hornets because if they lose, their season is officially over.
I wonder why the Hornets won't play Tyson Chandler because of a sore toe? This is a pretty important game for the Hornets. Hopefully the Rockets can take this game and keep a lead of the Jazz.
The Hornets would need a miracle to win this game being behind by like ten with 1:30 something left. :no1:
Final score: Hornets 112 Houston 123With this loss, the Hornets are now eliminated from playoff contention. :no1:
that was a good game. Needed win for the Rockets and for the first time since forever they pulled away in the 4th (even though it was in like the last couple of minutes).
TMac pulled crazy clutch at the end. He has like 11 points in the final 4 minutes of the game including 2 big passes.

it was a tough loss, but I am happy about the effort the Hornets put in during the final stretch. With their injuries, they stayed alive and in contention. Next year, expect the Hornets to be a playoff team. :dribble:
Recap: It's official, the Hornets will close out the season with no chance of making the playoffs. For the Rockets, they have proven that they are one of the elite teams in the NBA as they took down the Hornets 123-112 on Saturday night. Houston(51-29) also prevented the Hornets(37-43) from sweeping them in their season series. Tracy McGrady led Houston with 25 points, seven boards, 10 assists and three steals. Yao Ming also had a big game, compiling 30 points. David West had another outstanding for the Hornets, scoring 33 points, but it was just not enough. New Orleans kept the game close most of the way. They were down only seven points entering the fourth quarter, but the Rockets pulled away. The Hornets travel to Sacramento on Monday and close out the season on Wednesday at Staples Center when the play the Clippers on ESPN.Leaders of the Night:HornetsD. West- 33pts 4reb 2stlC. Now that there's no pressure, I'd like to see Armstrong and Vinicus get more minutes. CP3 and David West should get some rest.
Before the season started, Chris Paul stated that "Anything short of the playoffs this year and our season will be a disappointment." The Hornets didn't make the playoffs but if I was Chris I would be somewhat happy that they were in the race for the playoffs considering their injuries to Peja, Tyson, Mason, Bobby Jackson, West, and Chris himself throughout the season. Before all of the injuries came into play, the Hornets started the season off great and were something like 8-2. (That may not be exact because it's just from memory.)Next year they will have something to build off of and could very easily make the playoffs as long as everybody stays healthy. :dribble:
I believe the Hornets will make the playoffs next year if healthy. They were scary in the beginning of the season with everyone. Goddamn the SouthWest is just too damn good.

It was a dissapointing year, but I loved every minute of it. :happy0144:
I think the Hornets will beat the clippers well I hope so....I dont want them in the playoffs Go Hornets!
