The Clippers(40-41) were able to stay alive going into the final day of the season by beating the Suns on Tuesday night. Now, Los Angeles must win their final game tonight, as they take on the Hornets(38-43) at home. The Warriors also won their game against the Mavs on Tuesday, meaning a win would seal the deal for them. Even if Golden State loses tonight, they could still clinch the eighth spot if the Clippers lose as well due to the Warriors holding the tie-breaker. New Orleans will be motivated to end the Clipper's season. After a huge win over the Kings on Monday, the Hornets need one more victory to surpass their win total of last season. The game will be televised on ESPN at 10:30pmET.Season Series: Clippers lead 2-1Key Matchup: David West Vs Elton Brand
I think the Hornets will win but it will be a great match up Clippers still coming off that huge win over the suns.
be sure to watch it on TV guys! I'm interested to see CP3 and D-West for the first time in a couple of months.
Bulls-Nets are wrapping it up with 3:16 left in the game. Get your popcorn ready, cause it's goin' be a show!!! Thanks T.O. for the quote!
Hornets down 44-42 at the half. Cassel actually complemented CP3 during the halftime interview. What a nice guy! I got to heat up some more popcorn :happy0144: :HAHAHA:
It's been a good game so far. The more I watch Chris Paul, the more amazed I am with his defense. He has had some good defensive and offensive plays tonite.
Clippers up 66-65 as we head to final quarter of the season. It looks like they won't make it though, Golden State is up too much and will get their victory in Portland, meaning a Clippers victory won't help them. Let's go Hornets!! Finish out the year with a strong quarter!! :dribble:
Yeah, what a shot by Butler. AND 1. It was a good way to end the season. When healthy next season, the Hornets will be much improved.
that sucsk the clippers end their season on a shot that didnt even got off in time and was shot by brand from beyond the 3 point line...gj hornets, clippers just got F*cked in their ass.

The Clippers were already out of the playoffs midway through the 4th quarter when the Lakers and Warriors both won. So yeah, tough loss...but it would not have really made a difference one way or another.
Recap: Chris Paul and co. were given their normal playing time in a game that meant nothing, they still didn't dissappoint. The Hornets improved once more in the span of three years and defeated the Clippers on Wednesday night 86-83. David West had 32 points and nine rebounds, while shutting out Elton Brand to 11 points. Los Angeles needed the Warriors to lose in Portland for a chance at the final spot, but Golden State cruised to a victory that sealed the deal. Corey Maggette had 21 points and 11 boards. Chris Paul once again proved that he was a pass-first type of leader, scoring a mere six points, but dishing out 10 assists, grabbing three boards and making two steals. New Orleans(39-43) close out the season on a two-game winning streak, they also finished the year winning seven of their last ten games. The Clippers had outscored the Hornets in the first two quarters, but New Orleans took advantage in the third and fourth. Tyson Chandler, Desmond Mason, and Peja Stojakovic were all in attendance, but did not play due to their season-ending injuries. Stojakovic missed a team-high 69 games this season. The Hornets played their final game as the New Orleans/Oklahoma City Hornets, they will return to Lousiana for the 2007-2008 season.Leaders of the Night:Hornets D. West- 32pts 9reb 3stl 2blkD. Nice job finishing out the season strong. I expect some improvement next year if everybody is healthy. :dribble:
