Chris Paul was the player New Orleans coveted most, and he fell directly in its lap. Not a bad way to tip off the post-Baron Davis era. Paul is an electric floor general who won't tolerate the rebuilding process for long, a good thing for a team in need of hunger.

Brandon Bass was also a great pick, an area guy who might step right into Lee Nailon's vacated spot and produce immediately. The reigning SEC player of the year is versatile enough to succeed, and all the criticism he took for leaving early might motivate him to work hard and prove doubters wrong.

More moves might be coming if the Hornets continue to look for a taker for Jamaal Magloire, although considering how difficult centers are to come by, he might be a building block worth holding on to.

An A from all three different sports experts that is really good. Bass is a player who was underrated by many, and with Nailon probably leaving via free agency he will be a good guy to take Lee's spot. I'm hoping they keep Jamal, because he is a good center, but if they can trade him for several good players who would fit into the system then that would be a good move.

A big need right now for them in my opinion is to get a solid small forward. They have a pretty solid front court besides that spot, and there back corut is solid. Improve there bench and small forward slot, and they will be good.

I think the draft was solid, Chris Paul is a great player and Bass was a steal. Bass reminds me of Carlos Boozer for some reason, I havent seen much from him but I do think that he'll be a serviceable player and be able to replace the void Chris Anderson leaves. Paul is going to be ROY, mark my words. Nawlins got him at 4th but I think he could be the best 1st year player next year because he seems the most NBA ready and in the best situation for himself.

I'd grade their draft an A as well.

I think this was an awsome draft by the Hornets with Chris Paul they are going to have a future all-star and with Bass they have someone who can do they dirty work like Charles Oakley. Overall I give them an A.
