I liked this pick for the Hornets, Wright is like the opposite of Peja. They got a guy that can do it all on the floor, and can work well with the players they already have. I don't know much about their second round pick though
http://www.nbadraft.net/admincp/profiles/adamhaluska.html He seems...meh. I guess it's a solid 2nd round pick. Seems like he can play defensive, and he can find his own niche in offense.
I thin they would have been better served taking Nick Young. However, I expect Wright and Paul to develop a tight relationship off the court, since both are big time bowlers. That chemistry that they develop through hanging out off the court might translate to a better product on it.

He's a pure shooting guard, and they're going to need to fill that void when Desmond Mason leaves this summer. Wright can't really play much two-guard though, which basically means that if they're going to move Peja to the two, that he'll come off the bench his first year in the league. I like the Haluska pick more. He was a hell of a scorer at Iowa. I'm not sure how he'll do in the pro's, because he lacks size, can't defend, and is sort of slow, but he just always finds a way to score.
The Hornets were definitely trying to land the best player on the board, in hopes to get somebody to play next to Chris Paul for the future, and they succeeded. Wright was a terrific value where the Hornets were selecting, and his versatility could make for some playing time off the bench this year. Wright and Peja play two completely different styles of game, and it wouldn't surprise me at all to see them both on the court at the same time.

I don't know what lineup they're planning on putting out on the floor. Do they feel Wright can guard SG's? If so they could have something like: PG: Chris Paul SG/SF: Peja Stojakovic SF/SG: Julian Wright PF: David West C: Tyson Chandler Peja is SG on offense, and SF on defense, Wright is SF on offense and SG on defense. I don't know if they're thinking of doing that, or what they're planning to do. I suppose they could play Rasaul Butler as a starting swing.
