<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">NEW ORLEANS -- The New Orleans Hornets drafted their starting point guard and decided not to trade their starting center. Now they're in search of their starting small forward. The Hornets used the fourth pick in the draft Tuesday to select Wake Forest point guard Chris Paul, who immediately became a starter. They entertained trade offers from Toronto for Jamaal Magloire, but felt the compensation fell far short of what a starting center who was an All-Star two years ago should command. With shooting guard J.R. Smith, last year's No. 1 draft choice, and veteran power forward P.J. Brown returning, coach Byron Scott has fourth-fifths of his starting lineup for next season penciled in.</div> Source
It was pretty much seen that the small forward position would be the main spot this team would try to fill through free agency. There lineup is pretty solid like Scott aid there starters are pretty much set, and its a pretty solid lineup a bench and small forward are the positions/players needed to contend for a playoff spot in the western conference. If they could acquire possibly a Kareem Rush or another young talented player who could play the swingman spot that would fill that area of the team. I would not be apposed to possibly starting George Lynch at small forward if they could not acquire a small forward via free agency. He was a big part of the 76ers finals run a few years ago until he got injured in the playoffs. He is getting older so who knows if his body can hold up, but he does still have some game left in him.
They have a small forward in Lampe, they could get a veteran in like lynch, but if given a chance lampe can really star on this team.

^ He is a SF/PF, not that he can actually guard SF's, but he has a perimeter game and can play SF offensively. He definately is not a solution at SF, and hasn't shown he's even a starter in this league yet.

He has the potential to be a very good player. But like most youngin's he needs to get some real minutes. He can very well be the Flip Murray of the '05-'06 season. Like it was said earlier he has a perimeter game and given a chance he can succeed. The hornets arent goin to be in the playoff next year. Why not give the kids a shot. PG Paul SG Smith SF Lampe PF Brown C Magloire Lets see what the kids can do!
