It will be a weird couple of weeks for the Kings(33-47). Instead of battling through intense games and fantastic finishes, Sacramento will be sitting at home during the playoffs, something they haven't experienced in a decade. The Hornets(37-43) will be joining them on the couch, for the third straight year, but not before the two teams square off on Monday night. Byron Scott still has a shot at finishing a game better than last season, but it will be a tough task with playing the Kings and Clippers to finish the year. Chris Paul and David West are expected to play, even with their bumps and bruises. Tyson Chandler will most likely remain out for the last two games. Season Series: Hornets lead 2-1Key Matchup: Devin Brown Vs Kevin Martin
We're about an hour away from tip-off, this will be a fun game. I definitley want to end the season with two wins.
With 2:48 left in the 3rd quarter, the Hornets are down 88-89. This is a high-scoring game for both teams. I think we could see this one go above 115 each.
125-118 with 9.3 seconds left for Sacramento. They can't catch up, but it'll be interesting to see what they decide to do here.
Recap: With no pressure, the Hornets looked like one of the top teams in the NBA on Monday night. David West had 25 points and five boards, while Chris Paul scored 23 points and dished out 12 assists as New Orleans went on to defeat the Kings 125-118. Devin Brown also had a huge game, scoring 20 points and making seven of 11 shots on the night. Ron Artest led the Kings with 22 points, seven rebounds and five assists. Despite seven players in double figures for the Kings, they never outscored the Hornets at the end of each quarter. Youngsters Hilton Armstrong and Marcus Vinicius got some good minutes tonight as well. Armstrong played 18 minutes while scoring six points and grabbing seven boards. Vinicius also played 18 minutes, scoring four points and grabbing four rebounds, he also made his lone field goal attempt and both of his free throws. New Orleans(38-43) will travel to Los Angeles to play their final game against the Clippers on Wednesday night. The game will be televised nationally on ESPN. Sacramento(33-48) will host the Lakers on Wednesday as they try to end the season with a victory. The Hornets also matched their win total of last season and will try and improve by one game.Leaders of the Night:HornetsD. West- 25pts 5reb 4ast 2stl 2blkC. Paul- 23pts 4reb 12ast 2stlD. They got a good win, which they deserved for the tough season they have played. I just hope they win their last one. :dribble: It'll be sad in a way if they do because that would mean that they would only fall like a game out of the playoffs since they're playing the Clippers. :no1:
