Timberwolves coast through a big win tonight against the Hornets, who are playing right now to get the most ping-pongs for the right to get the #1 draft pick in the lottery.

It was over pretty early as the Wolves dominated the Hornets from the first half. The first quarter was a blowout. There was no way this team was losing this game no matter how much the Hornets outplayed the Wolves in the second half or how they were about to lead this game.

KG was fantastic as he has this month. IMO, KG is the player of the month for March.

The point guards was the catalyst as usual during the Timberwolves wins. Sammy and Troy played a very good game for the second game in a row. When those two do well, this team really takes off as I have been saying last year and this year.

I am a huge Byron Scott fan. I loved him in his time with the Nets as their head coach. It's very unfortunate that his team stinks and that he is the blame. I think he has done a great job with what he has to work with. One thing going for him, his Hornets team plays hard which is something his 26-56 Nets never did. He is very optimistic about how things will turn around for his Hornets team, but I don't know. Allen Bristrow (GM of the Hornets) is no Rod Thorn. I hope he does well and I am rooting for the Hornets to win the lottery so that Byron can be a successful head coach over there.

Good win. The Timberwolves could not afford to blow this easy opportunity tonight. They won two in a row. They gotta get this win at New Jersey Saturday afternoon. I am going to that game and I plan on heckling McHale all game long Saturday. I want this win big time Saturday afternoon.

Did you see KG after the tipoff? He and Magloire were jumping for the tip, and as Garnett won the tip, Hudson grabbed the ball and smiled. And why? KG had dropped down and did two to three pushups right in the middle of the court, jumped up, and hustled down to the post. Pretty entertaining to see.

Nonetheless, great win. I don't care who we beat, just so we get wins. We gain a 1/2 game on the 8th place Nuggets, and are currently 2 1/2 games behind, while the struggling Lakers are losing hope, big time, and are now 4 1/2 games back. In the remaining 13 games, 6 of those are at home. We need to pickup the slack here. Which, we have been saying all season. But it's crunch time.

Once again the Timberwolves have given the rest of the league hope. I've said it time and time again, The Wolves have told EVERY team in the league that it doesn't matter what kind of lead we have, you can still come out on top. Granted, every team in league has NBA caliber players and can make runs, but when have the Wolves ever looked a dominant team from start to finish? They made Dickau look like Bibby.

Lakers are done. I don't consider them a playoff contender at all. They are not making the playoffs. Their season is over and if the Wolves go on a big losing streak, their season will be over by next week.

I am not worried about Denver. I worry about the TImberwolves. They control their own destiny. They gotta win games and win consistently. If they win a lot and run the table, let the chips fall where they may and if it's not good enough, it's not good enough.

Saber: Wally seemed pretty peeved about the win last night as he mentioned what you are mentioning here.

    Totally agreed.
KG and Cos need to buck up and win the games they suppose to win and make it into the playoff by their owns. Praying for other teams to drop points or loses to missed the playoff is way too hard.
    Go TWolves!

There's nothing wrong for rooting for another team and some possible help, the problem comes when:

A - The players on the Wolves start scoreboard watching instead of preparing and excuting.

B - The fans lose touch on what their team is doing and hoping for injuries.

    ....Just my opinion.

If the teams won the rest of thier games, I believe the Wolves would be 1 game out, so it only makes sense to hope the Nuggets lose some ground.

One of the reasons I am so apathetic about scoreboard watching is that even if the Timberwolves make the playoffs, they are going to get creamed by the Spurs in 4 games. Now if Phoenix gets the top seed, that could change. Either way, I just think it's pointless one way or another. I am not really that excited about the playoff chase. I just care if my team wins. If they make the playoffs through winning, great. If they miss the playoffs yet they win, so be it.

They did just that today. Kudos to Sam, KG, and Kandi. Even Thomas looked good today. The Nets looked like the Hawks.

The Nets quit on Saturday against the Timberwolves IMO. I did not think they looked prepared and they rolled over in the second half. That's a reflection on Lawrence Frank, the Nets coach. Nets had too many mail-in games this season.

Kidd tanked yesterday. I did not see him play hard at all which is something he never did in his three years with the Nets. He went through the motions. From what I know from a source, Kidd is still angry at the Nets for dumping Kenyon Martin and he still wants out. He is determined to be traded this offseason which is probably the best thing for the Nets and Kidd.

Did you hear that report about speculation being that he still wants to move to the Spurs or Wolves. It just makes me think about how he seems to sigh whenever the Spurs or Wolves come to visit.

Saber: Reportedly, Jason Kidd told someone from the Wolves organization about how he wanted to go play in Minnesota. That took place when the Nets were in Minneapolis.

I expect Kidd to be gone this summer. I think the Nets and him are going to part ways so they both can get a fresh start. Nets ain't winning a title for a long time so it makes sense to get some young players to build as they get ready to move to New York. Plus the Nets can get rid of a headache in Jason Kidd as he constantly whines to the organization all the time about how the franchise ruined it for him trading his best friend, Kenyon Martin.

Saber: That would be deadly. George Karl is a huge Jason Kidd fan. When George's Bucks played the Nets in the first round couple of years ago, all George did was constantly praised Jason Kidd and talked about how he wish he had Kidd in his team. You can bet George will tell Kiki Vandeweghe to make a push for Kidd. Denver has got so much to offer for Kidd. Nene, Earl Boykins, and Andre Miller would be a good offer for Kidd.
