According to those agents, they have been working to get the best deals finalized for their clients. Under NBA guidelines, Bower is not permitted to discus the status of negotiations until today, when free agents can begin signing contracts. The league announced Tuesday night that next season's salary cap will be $55.63 million.

With no agreements to announce yet, it's obvious the Hornets have waited to see what the market has dictated during the negotiation period.

I love Desmond Mason out of those three players I feel he is the most talented. However, having him and Julian Wright on the court at the same time would give the Hornets no real perimeter threat. At the same time if Peja comes back healthy they might be able to inter-change Mason/Wright.

Wright can't really play much on the perimeter at this point in his career though. It'll take a few years to break him of his post habits.

I'm for signing Mo Pete over Mason. For one, he'd probably be cheaper, and also, the guy's got range on his jumper. If the Hornets signed Mason, they'd have a no perimeter threats, like you said. Sure, Peja could come back healthy, but even so, Wright's going to be eating up a lot of his time, and Wright couldn't shoot his way out of a paper bag, much like Mason.
