Carl Crawford is heading to the DL with a finger injury that will keep him out for 6 weeks if not the entire season. It is a joint that is on the middle finger and happened during a check swing against Seattle.

The only good news is that we get to see what Rocco Baldelli can do. He cant play in the OF because of his mitocondrial disorder, so he will be a DH. He is one of my favorite players and hopefully he can rebound. He was extremly good when he wasnt slowed by injuries

Rays are also going to have to add another outfielder from AAA or from another team because of Baldelli's condition even though he is a great defensive OF.

This is a huge loss for the Rays. I hope they can keep their lead in the East. It would be great to see them in the postseason.
