<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">As he had hoped after practicing with the team Monday for the first time this season, Allan Houston was able to scrimmage with his Knicks teammates yesterday. And the early reviews were positive.

"He looked good," said shooting guard Jamal Crawford, who has been starting in place of Houston. "He doesn't look like he missed a beat. He picked up on what we were doing really fast."

"He looked like the old Allan," forward Kurt Thomas said. "He looked real good.... He had a beautiful jump shot."

"I mean, it's going to take some more practices for him to get his timing down," point guard Stephon Marbury said. "Once his timing gets down he'll be fine. ... Usually you say once you get the shot back (you'll be okay), but his shot never went anywhere."</div>

Finally Houston is coming back. I didn't really care how much time he took off. I just wanted the amount of time he took off (9months) to be worthwhile. I still think he should be in the starting lineup. What Tribute said about him being a SF I hope it happens because it's highly unlikely for what's his name to perform like he did on Saturday. With everyone now sharing basketball and Houston will definitely make people pay with his shot. He doesn't really need to create because Marbury will now have all the space in the world to penetrate. Houston, and Kurt Thomas will create havoc on the regular. Kurt can bring the big man out, Houston makes sure no one doubles and Marbury can easily do get into the paint. I'm so happy Houston never really missed a beat so now we can see how our whole team looks and how we will progress. Finally if Houston comes into the starting lineup the way Mohammed's been playing I think every Knick fan can safely say that we now have a lineup of decent players! Welcome back Allan! [IMG]

With Houstan back we definately will be winning more. Opposing teams are gonna have to worry about him shooting and Crawford and Marbury scoring. I just hope he took as much time as he needed so he doesnt get injured again

From what I've read so far it looks like he's looking more and more like the Houston before he was plagued by injuries. Houston's return means no more broken plays, bad shots, selfishness, double teams and zone defenses. All of that will be gone when Houston's back into game shape. Or at least when he's on the floor. I stand by my position that he should start at small forward. It'll do TT some good if he comes out with the second unit...or doesnt play at all. But I have a question. What happens if TT does the unthinkable like start playing like he deserves all that money he's making? It's hard to fathom I know but what if? Were back to pondering who should start at shooting guard. Of course were glad to have this problem considering we have two great guards to chose from. No matter how Houston is utilized though it definetely means more points and more wins.

If this happens his trade value has to increase. We should do this while he's "hot" so we can get as much value out of it as possible.

Hopefully he will be able to return and be able to stay healthy. Its going to help thje Knicks a lot because perimeter shooting is one of their weeker areas.

If he stays healthy then he could be key for players like Stephon Marbury and Jamal Crawford, since he will bne able to shoot and help with the scoring load.

TREMENDOUS news! Im very excited for Allan's return, and if he is as healthy and "like the old Allan" as they say he is, then this will make the Knicks much more dangerous, especially from the perimeter. Because now you got three major scoring weapons in JCraw, Marbs, and H20, and they cant double team all three, thats not even possible [IMG]

Of course they can't double all three because there wont be enough people on the court to do so [IMG]
