Quoting Ming637:

Nice preview. Rockets win 87-82. Yao with Double-Double
You seem to think Yao will get a double-double everytime, lol. Anyways, nice preview Dex. I think the Rockets will be out for revenge against the Celts who humiliated us on Sunday, I smell blood. Houston by 12+.
I really want to see the Rockets get a 20 point lead in the first and keep it only letting it grow. That'll make me happy
Rockets won 95-80. I couldn't see the game but from what I've seen on nba.com, Cato didn't play, is he injured? Yao had a second consecutive double-double, something we've wanted to see from him. He had 21 points on 10-14 shooting and 15 boards. One thing that has to worry our minds is Francis's 7 turnovers, the second time he's done that in two games. Boxscore
Revenge is sweet! Did Pierce have the worst game of his career? hehe..Well done to Yao for the season highs
Yeah, is Cato injured? Finally Yao puts together some back-to-back 20+ point games. He can do that ANY game. I'm not really surprised to see Nachbar getting Pike's minutes...Pike's gotta step it up. Padgett played really well, and seems more and more like a JVG player. If thats the case, JVG might be ok giving up Cato in a trade. Great trip for the Rockets...now comes the big test with a game against a much-improved Wolves team.
Dexter's Game Recap What a game if you were a Rockets fan. There is no way that you can walk away from this game without feeling a little bit of pride as the Rockets beat the Celtics 95-90. The Rockets played a great game on both ends of the court. On offense they worked the ball inside out, got excellent ball movement not only around the perimeter but also on kick-outs from the post. On defense the Rockets did a great job of containing Pierce, who had his first non-double digit scoring game in the past 111 straight games. Pierce was bothered by a hand injury however you have to give the Rockets credit for their play on the defensive end. Yao played a great game as he scored 21 points and grabbed 15 rebounds while adding 4 blocks. He shot 9-10 from the field in the first half. One thing that concerns me is he was basically a no-factor on the offensive end in the 2nd half. Just a note, Kelvin Cato did not play due to a sprained foot however he is probably for Saturday's game against the Timberwolves. Scott Padgett started in his place. Eric Piatkowski never played in the game. Since he does not have any injuries one can imagine that Jeff Van Gundy is overall not pleased with his play so far this year. Rockets Key Players Steve Francis - 14 points, 6 assists, 7 turnovers Cuttino Mobley - 24 points, 4 rebounds, 6 assists Jim Jackson - 11 points, 2 assists Scott Padgett - 7 points, 12 rebounds Yao Ming - 21 points, 15 rebounds, 4 blocks Maurice Taylor - 10 points, 3 rebounds, 4 assists Bostjan Nachbar - 8 points, 3 rebounds Celtics Key Player Paul Pierce - 4 points, 2 rebounds, 4 assists Mike James - 14 points, 3 rebounds, 2 assists Walter McCarty - 7 points, 3 rebounds Jiri Welsch - 8 points, 4 rebounds, 4 assists Mark Blount - 14 points, 9 rebounds Ricky Davis - 12 points, 5 rebounds, 4 assists Marcus Banks - 10 points, 2 assists Key Stats Field Goal Percentage - Houston (34-68) for 50%, Boston (27-75) for 36% Assists - Houston 24, Boston 16 Turnovers - Houston 16, Boston 12 It is also worth noting that the Celtics never lead in this game at all. The Rockets next game is Saturday afternoon against the Timberwolves. This next game will be a huge game for our ball club. Go Rockets!!!
Sounds like a great win, Francis was the only one with turnovers? Good luck in your game against the wolves.
