Del Zotto, Pyatt and Moore for Brock Nelson and the Isles second round pick this year.

Nelson is a natural center and I project him as a good faceoff guy down the line with his size and strength and potentially a 50 point guy. The second round pick should be high.

Islanders defenseman bloooooow and there isn't much help on the way from the farm. Del Zotto would be a huge upgrade for them and needs a change of scenery. Moore and Pyatt can help their team defense which is awful and they come off the cap next year. Nelson will not be the second line center there as they have Strome who is almost ready. It makes a lot of sense for both teams.

How about a real blockbuster ranger-islanders trade. Lundquist for the "Great Tavares". Anyone think either team would pull the trigger on it?

I think the Isles would wait and try and sign as an UFA over the summer. they have the cap space to make him the highest paid goalie ever, and the lure of playing in Brooklyn, 6 miles from MSG

hey dump, MDZ wouldn't be a huge upgrade to anything the Isles have on their blueline, he would however fit right in with one of the sloppiest D's in the NHL. time for a reality check on MDZ

This is the kind of dumbass comment that causes other fan bases to laugh at our fans. Get a clue. The reject Islander defense core is using Hickey who is a bust and can't even play in the AHL, Matt Carkner who is a worthless goon and can't play, Ness who is a careen minor leaguer and MacDonald who should be in the minors.
