How about a Rudy dunk competition thread?

Let's talk about the debacle on this thread.

Obviously, I'm nervous. I'm afraid he's going to embarrass himself. And I hope, so much, that I'm wrong.

Stupid Spain voting him in......

How could he realistically embarrass himself?

 

If he makes the finals, he has a legit chance at winning because of Spain.

 

All other competitors are better than him? More powerful than him? More popular than him?

I don't know. It just doesn't feel right.

 

I don't see how you can say "stupid Spain" voted him in, Spain is a small country. Texas is bigger then Spain I think. Represent Spain well, Rudy.


This might be the first time I have rooted for a Blazer BTW.

Meh, so he doesn't make it to the second round. He's a dark horse anyway man. It would be more difficult if people actually expected him to win, but we heard guys like LeBron hating on him. I think he could surprise some people.

 

It's the early hours of the morning in Spain.

I'm not sure how many people are going to be awake to vote for him.

 

I expect some of soccer influenced dunks. Maybe he dribbles (soccer style) the ball up, flips it with his feet over his back and grabs it for a dunk.

Or maybe something a little more "in the face"

It'll be 5 or so by the time the dunk contest is on. I'm pretty sure everybody will be up and watching the first Spaniard to make the NBA's dunk competition.

I don't understand how JR Smith got into this.... why not Russell Westbrook? Gay drops out and they put in JR Smith? I hate that guy.
