After watching about a half season of pitiful basketball its obvious we need the line up to be shaken up a little..heres an idea PG - Speedy/Flores/Dunleavy/Fisher SG - Pietrus/Fisher/Richardson/Cheany SF - Richardson/Dunleavy/Cabarkaba/Najera/Cheany PF - Murphy/Najera/Robinson/Beidrins C - Foyle/Robinson/Beidrins/Davis PG - We completley take Fisher out of the 1 position and move him to a back up 2. We all know he cant run an offense and is a shoot first player. When Dunleavy can run the offense better then him you know he shouldnt be a PG. Then we move Flores to the back up, from what I understand he may also be a shoot first PG but we will never know if we dont play him. He was a shooting guard in college and lead the NCAA scoring average with 24 a game so we know he can put the ball in the bucket.. From the little play I have seen of him this season his offense doesnt look bad. SG/SF - We move Richardson to the 3 spot since the way his game is developing he would be more successful at that spot then Peitrus. Then we start Peitrus as the SG to get him more playing time and experience. Dunleavy can come of the bench and also play a little bit of pg. PF - Not alot of changes, Id like to see najera get more minutes though. C - Start Foyle and play him until he gets into foul trouble. I dont like Robinson at the center position but we dont have alot of options there and theres not much room for him to play anywhere else on the roster so let him come in off the bench aswell as Beidrins.. what do you guy think?
It's intersesting and I'd like to see it happen. Pietrus and J-Rich would be a good 2/3 combo. And I really love the idea of Flores being back-up PG. Send this lineup to Monty, he needs to read it
Richardson is 6'4" SG, and I never consider him as a regular SF. Besides, unless Pietrus shows something like last season, I wouldn't put him as a starter. He has been struggling mightly, and even 3 pts isn't falling...
^J-Rich is 6'6. Also I would give Pietrus the start over Dunleavy any day. Dunleavy litteraly sleepwalks on D. Also he is either doing bad, or being inconsistent
Richardson is 6'6" on paper, just like Barkeley is 6'7" on paper . In reality, he really is closer to 6'3" then 6'6". I probably would like to see Pietrus in starting line up at the beginning of the season, but he really has been struggling in Jan (6.6 pts, 28% FG, 28% 3pts), and he really didn't make any progress during summer or in this season. Also, he hasn't been a game changer like last season. Until Pietrus improves, I wouldn't put him on starting line up yet...
He can actually penetrate and that and the three are his fav things on offense. Now Dunleavy says, 3, jump shot, pass, drive. That is his order when he plays. Pietrus can be a game changer if we give him the chance. Also you said he was struggling in January. Everyone was, why? J-Rich was gone. I think we should try putting Speedy at PG, Pietrus at SG, JR at SF, Murph at PF, and Biedrins at C. He was all the hype in the draft for Mullin and if he is all they said he was, he would be great to start at center, otherwise he will turn into Darko

I sure as hell would pick Pietrus anyday just because of his raw athletic ability and energy that Dunleavy will never have. He has been in a slump the past few weeks but the only way to get past it is play him through it, I would rather give him the minutes and experience now because this team isnt going anywhere anyway and I dont see how Dunleavy could be in the long term plans for this team..I think if Pietrus cut back on taking as many 3's and drove to the basket he'd be much more useful since he seems able to draw alot of fouls..only problem is he cant make his free throws.. This new rotation isnt going to drastically improve the w/l column but it will give our younger guys more time to develope, we dont have to see Fisher try to do things at point he isnt capable of and we dont have to watch Dunleavy take away minutes from guys who deserve them more.

I would love to see Pietrus and Jrich together on the floor. Then I wouldn't mind Fisher out on the floor so much since there is actually a guy to penetrate so he could receive the wide open ball and Pietrus will look for Jrich or Fisher or Murphy who are the offensive options. Then maybe Monty can tell his guys to play their assignments straight up more rather than just do the team defense thing where they cycle the ball around and allow wide open 3's to go down. Do you guys think the Warriors will re-sign Speedy? He's injured every year and as he ages his injuries could get worse. Man, he's a good point guard, but every time he goes down we lose another piece of crucial talent we absolutely need in order to have a winning chance every night.
^You really hit it on that post. We need to get Speedy back with us, but the only way would be to dump a guy with a big useless contract.
