Honestly I read this trade prop on another MB but you know when you read the proposed line up you get a little excited.

Van exel, dampier, robinson = kidd
    s.claxton, jrich = v.carter

    All three teams benefit

Warriors get quality stars and dont have to worry bout free agents other than murph and dunleavy. it will also provide minutes to biedrins and pietrus

    kidd, fisher
    carter, pietrus
    mdj
    tmurph, a biedrins
    afoyle, eschmeyer

nets get better by adding two quality defensive players after losing kmart

    van exel
    kittles
    jefferson
    robinson
    dampier

tor practically gets a younger vc plus a speedy point guard. they also free up cap space to go after other missing pieces.

    claxton
    jrich
    jrose
    d.marshall
    c.bosh

props to crossover2k from Yahoo groups

I wouldn't mind seeing the claxton/jrich for Carter but the Dampier deal with NY looks pretty much done now so you can forget about kidd. I still wouldn't mind this:

    pg: Fisher/NVE
    sg: Carter/Pietrus
    sf: Dunleavy/Pietrus
    pf: MurphyRobinson/harrington
    c : Foyle/Mohummud/biedrins

Man where's the D? I see only two players on that roster that actually play defense, Rudeezy. Move pietrus and have him guard the best back court player and put Carter at SF man. I'd think even with Carter's defensive effort he'd be able to do better than Dunleavy with his blocks and steals. Although I would love to see Jkidd in Oakland it doesn't allow a lot of cap flexibility as you can see with the Nets. Plus, it's a matter of time before his body breaks down and age takes over I believe.

Its not about who starts CR, its about who finishes.

True, but you gotta set the tone early though if you want to finish on top.

    ^Talk about your lovers quarrels.....

I like the trade regarding Vince except for one thing: When JRich's contract goes up next season he will not...and I repeat...will not re-sign with Toronto. Also, the Raptors on the free agent market is like an ugly girl trying to get a dance at the prom. Free agents will not look at how much cap space the Raptors have and start forming a line.

So what Toronto would be doing is essentially trading Vince for Speedy. Not a fair trade at all if you ask me. Throw in Pietrus and I say done deal.

Vince and Richardson on the same team? Oh man. I know mullin can't expect to do make a splash trade with the pieces we got on our team so we gotta be the vultures looking for the kill. I'd take V.C. for claxton and pietrus.... although Pietrus could be more awesome just with his defense alone. hmmm.

I would take a proven star over a potential star.

Uh guys...I meant Pietrus, Claxton and Richardson for VC. Do I look like Danny Ainge? I would accept Dunleavy as a subsititute for Richardson.

So it would be like this: Dunleavy, Pietrus and Claxton for Vinsanity. Done Deal.

Now this would be a lot tougher of a decision.

Just checked on realGM and it looks like the trade wouldn't be able to work. It's the signing of Fisher and Foyle that is screwing it up. You guys have no more cap space to make room for VC even if there was a three for one deal.
