how can LA really think he can be an all-star?

Bayless should have passed him the ball, he would have sunk it

I have been feeling the same way. LA is a great player and he has all the potential to become a star, but he seems to always disappear when we need him most in the 4th. If he sinks that one shot, we are up 10 rather than being down 5 when CP3 has an And 1 directly after. I know everyone went cold in the end, but for how much this guy is going to get paid, I definitely hope he is constantly in the weight room and working on some more offensive moves.

well, production-wise he's been about a wash this year...0.5 PER better than his opponent when playing PF, 1.5 better at C. We score more and give up less when he's in the game.

I don't have "4th quarter" stats, but his "clutch" stats (less than 5min left, less than 5pt difference) are ok, though not spectacular.

I definitely agree. It is sickening watching the same fade-away jumpshots never fall when we need them to, not to mention that he didn't get to the line once tonight. In the clutch, LA gets the ball, tries backing down his man, realizes he can't, and quickly gets rid of it. Maybe he needs to start watching Dirk.

I agree. LA needs to watch Dirk more often to get better.

Unless LA drinks a 5 hour energy drink prior to every game he won't be on the All-Star team.

I don't get why there is regression in his game right now. He was clearly better than this the last 2 years. This year something doesn't seem right.

Back when he was drafted I figured him and Roy would be the top 2 scorers on the team from night to night. Now I am seeing him as a role player at best. Just another run of the mill power forward in the NBA. That is sad.

In all fairness his ankle may still be pretty messed up. Actually I think both his ankles are gimped.

I am hoping that these nagging injuries are what is holding LMA back. They gave that dude big money and he needs to play big for the team to succeed.

I'm not sure that Aldridge is going to be an All Star anytime soon playing in the West in a small market. He doesn't appear to want to bang down in the post. He does have a nice shot and does run the court good, but an All Star he isn't, he might get paid like one, but people aren't talking about him as a super stud, just a good player. He is going to need to get a little more nasty for that to happen IMO.

If you could get Bosh for Aldridge I'd do it, but it's not like he is a stiff.

I'm taking issue with the inappropriate name blazedanugz.

I mean, come on man, there are youngins that visit this forum, and giving them the false impression that using the singular article "a" with the plural noun "nugz" is just wrong.

He has the talent but not the heart, IMO.

In his four year career he has yet to commit a hard foul.

This team needs an Oakley type that averages a flagrant foul every other game.

IMO heart is not shown by flagrant fouls. It's shown by never giving up no matter what some haters have to say about you.

LMA has got heart beyond belief, he's played almost as many minutes as anyone and has yet to take a break. It's just too bad the coaches don't factor him in more to the offense...
