without any sarcasm or bashing this is an honest question i would like to know from other people besides me. how can the knicks fix this mess? what players should stay and what players should leave? is larry the right coach? if he's not than who can lead this team in the right direction? is marbury going to be traded even though he has an enormous contract?discuss please........

I think they just need to start over, which means getting rid of the horrible managment in Isiah Thomas, and getting rid of all the older players - Steve Francis, Stephon Marbury, etc. The positive thing about the Knicks is they have a lot of younger players. Keep those young guys on the team, and get a coach that can teach. I wouldnt say Larry Brown is a good choice either. They will be getting a lottery pick this year, and I think they need a strong center, there arent that many good ones this year, but they need to pick the best defensive center possible and go with that. Let the younger guys develop together, and hopefully they will get better. The best thing to remember is, all bad teams dont stay bad forver, and vice versa.

wait like 6 or so yrs for all those contracts to run out and then maybe, just maybe theyll be able to rebuild. this depending on that the "excellent" gm doesnt assume any more big contracts

Heres what you do,get rid of all those fat contracts and just buy them out,get rid of Houston,"Starbury" and I say keep Francis at Point if not trade him also, what you want to do is have more cap and more young players for the future. Now if they draft right and get rid of those contracts they should have a good team in about 5-7 years if they start now.

They cant really draft right, cuz Paxson screwed the Knicks over when he traded for the Knicks first round pick this season and next season.

well the Bulls have the option of switchin their first pick with the knicks pick. So say if the Knicks get the 3rd pick in the draft next year and the Bulls get the 15th, those picks would get switched.

Just let contracts run out. Try to dump contracts if at all possible. Don't sign any FA's! Go with a youth movement and some veteran role players. Get rid of Marbury if at all possible. Don't re-sign anyone!

Somehow the knicks should try and get rid of Marbury. Utilize Steve Francis as a PG. He is definately talented and can clearly put up better numbers than what he did with the Knicks last season. I don't know what else to say really...I'm looking at their roster right now and there are decent players....Jamaal Crawford, Eddy Curry, Jalen Rose, Channing Frye, David Lee, Nate Robinson...I think Raef LaFrentz said it best after the C's played the Knicks one night, this is the best worst team ever.

he wasn't making it up haha. i think that they will improve by next year by making the necessary moves in the offseason and keeping the rookies and other young talent we have. call me crazy but i actually want to keep marbury over francis. i don't think francis wanted to be here in the first place but no one did haha. i have a good feeling that marbury will work it out with larry. did AI and larry get as heated as marbury and brown? in all honesty i am trying to turn a negative into a positive.

i don't think anyone wants marbury the only way they can clear cap room is by trading away rose and taylor who have expiring contracts. i think the rest of the league likes to see the knicks suffer.

It's no wonder the Knicks are so bad, their fans are as dumb as their front office.
