How come the only point guard Utah has held a workout for was Chris Paul? If they're so high on Deron Williams, how come they haven't had a workout for HIM. They will have/or had worked out some other lottery picks like Gerald Green, and Martell Webster, but no Williams or Felton. What do you think the reason is they haven't had a workout for Williams and Felton?

Williams, Felton to work out for Jazz <div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post"> Now the Jazz workouts get interesting with just five days to go until Tuesday's NBA Draft. Deron Williams of Illinois and Raymond Felton of North Carolina, two of the top three prospects at point guard, where Utah needs the most help, headline this morning's group of five scheduled to show their wares for Jazz brass at the Zion's Bank Basketball Center. And Jazz senior VP of basketball operations Kevin O'Connor said Saturday's workouts will also have some name appeal. "We always schedule a little bit late," O'Connor said of Utah's inviting top players to come in with little time left. "We like to have them back towards the end. "We've always done that with kind of the guys we've, quote, targeted, unquote, and on Saturday, we'll have some of the other guys come in that we've targeted." The announcement Wednesday that Williams and Felton are scheduled for today sent a buzz through the Jazz practice facility, and O'Connor noted that Maryland's John Gilchrist, another of today's five, was 2003-04 MVP of the Atlantic Coast Conference Tournament that included Chris Paul, this draft's other highly rated point guard. Also in today are Houston's Andre Owens and Atlanta-area prep Louis Williams, the 2005 Georgia "Mr. Basketball" who has already worked out for Portland, Denver, Phoenix, Memphis, Miami, Toronto, Sacramento and twice for Detroit. All are guards.</div> <div align="center">Source</div>
<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">In April, Illinois' Deron Williams and North Carolina's Raymond Felton guided their teams into the NCAA championship game. They meet again today in Utah. Felton and Williams are two of five point guards who will participate a predraft workout at the Jazz's practice facility. Joining Felton and Williams will be Maryland's John Gilchrist, Houston's Andre Owens and Louis Williams of South Gwinnett High in Georgia. Deron Williams is considered one of the top players in the draft. He could go anywhere from No. 2 to No. 5. Felton, whose Tar Heels beat Illinois in the NCAA championship game, should go somewhere between No. 6 and No. 15. Deron Williams and Felton, along with Wake Forest's Chris Paul, are considered to the three best point guards in the draft. Jazz vice president of basketball operations Kevin O'Connor said he was "very excited" to have both players agree to work out in Utah, which enters Tuesday night's draft with a shopping list that includes finding a young point guard. The Jazz would love to work a deal with Portland, New Orleans or Charlotte so they could get Williams, and O'Connor reportedly has been trying. But other teams are also talking to the Blazers, Hornets and Bobcats, who pick third, fourth and fifth in the first round. On tape, Jazz coach Jerry Sloan said Williams "Looks like a very good player. It looks like he tries to get the ball to other people. That's very important at that position." </div> Source
Oh, I don't go out to read every article, so I don't have much knowledge of this stuff. It sort of smarter to schedule top players late after they been workout so much, they will also see if they're durable.
Illini's Williams may be just what Jazz need <div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post"> Then why work out for a team like the Jazz, whose highest pick Tuesday is No. 6? In part, it's because he truly is interested in toiling here. "I definitely think Utah would be a place where I would love to play, especially under coach (Jerry) Sloan," he said. "I think he's a great coach, and he has a lot to offer me." <div align="center">...</div> He really does fully understand what the Jazz ? and Jazz players in particular ? need most. "I'm best when I'm giving people the ball, making plays for people," Williams said. "If you surround me with players like that ? players like Andrei Kirilenko, Carlos Boozer ? then I'm a player, and I'm going to get those guys the ball."</div> Source Deron Williams could be great for the Jazz. Williams seems to be interested in playing in Utah, and he should be able to start for the Jazz at Point Guard for many seasons to come. The Jazz are said to be interested in trading up so they can get him on draft day.
