What do you think the next few years will bring in your life? What's your dream job? What's more realistic of where you'll end up? etc.I'll answer a bit later

my dream, as of now:Go on to get a scholarship for Golf at Rutgers, graduate with a degree in journalism, and try to make it to the PGA tour. If that fails, which it would, I'd try to be a sports writer, I'd have a good background playing college golf, etc.Realistically, as of now:Play all four years of High School Golf, walk onto D-3 College, Play there for four years, get the degree in journalism, and then maybe get a job as a teaching pro at a golf club or go onto be a sports writer.

All my life I've dreamed of being rich, but as I've grown up I've become more realistic. I see my future as being an average, middle-class man, with hopefully a happy family.

My future.. I'm completely stuck right now. Something to do with a Graphic Designer.. or.. a Pharmacist.. The Pharmacist job will obviously pay a lot more, but it's a LOT of work.. Graphic Designing/Art is something I love, and already have some skill in. My parents obviously want me to be a pharmacist.. which I also consider.. but iono..I see myself gettin around 3.3-3.8 GPA's for the remaining of High School and go on to UC Davis.. which my parents do not want me to do.. they want me to go to UC Berkeley because its SO much closer, and its a "better" school. It's also pretty hard to get in, while Davis is a lot easier.. but I do want to go to Davis. If I decide to be a Pharmacist, I'll go to Davis and study my sciences needed, get my Bachelors, and go off to another school for another 3-4 years and get my Masters.. and then I have to earn my Pharmacist degree... and then I have to find a job... WOW.. hard work.. I don't like to talk about the future.. its just too crazy for me because of the pressure from my asian parents. If I decide on pursuing a digital art career, den iono. I'm gonna take a Graphic Design class at school next year, so I'll probably learn a few more techniques and programs other than Photoshop. and if I keep making stuff, maybe I'll get discoverd? iono..If I become succesful, or even middle-class, I hope to get married at around 26-28 to a dedicated and beautiful woman who would want one or two kids.Whatever happens... happens

I'm planning on going to ASU. That's my short term goal which I should be able to get to. And I'm hoping to get that tuition waiver by doing well on the state test and getting my GPA over 3.5, which should be easy. Then I want to do something in business. Not just selling jewelry in the mall like my dad, but maybe starting my own small business, sort of like my cousins who have 4 chiropractic offices in Arizona so far. Also, marketing is my favorite part of business so something like that...but I'm really not sure what I'm going to do. Something else I was thinking about was being a sports writer, but that would not be my first choice. Hopefully I find something that pays well because I want to be able to own, not rent, a house someday and have you seen the prices lately? It's insane.

My future:As of right now I am working to get myself on track for a sports journalism career. I just got a job at the local newspaper. As of right now I answer phones and create the newspapers' box scores. When I say I just got the job, I mean, I haven't even worked there yet. I really just got it. My boss said that he will look at some of my AP style writing and he will help develop me and hopefully (taking baby steps) I will be writing game articles for the paper before I get out of high school. My boss is also friends with Michael Smith from ESPN and Around The Horn (or atleast he says he is). One of my english teachers is helping me as well. He used to be an editor for a newspaper and he is expierenced in the AP style writing and writing game articles.I plan to go to college for a degree in journalism (sports journalism) and then try to find some work in that field. I will most likely, at least hopefully at the minimum, work a for a local newspaper some where. But as high up the chain I could get- of course- would be great.

Powerballin, you don't need your masters to get into a pharmacy school... you can get your bachelors and then apply to pharmacy school, although it is pretty hard to get in depending on the school as well as how competitive it is in your state or whatever. A few of my friends are doing pre-pharmacy, and it is definitely hard work.As for me, I'm currently a sophomore in college working towards my Management Information Systems business degree. I'm also planning on taking a few Real Estate courses this summer and hopefully getting my Real Estate license so I can do that on the side while in college. After college I'll end up getting a job with some big business company or consulting firm.

I did research on being a Pharmacist about a month ago since we had a research project in english class.About 100 grand a year :worthy: That's one of the reasons I want to be a Pharmacist

I just don't think its worth going for your masters before applying to pharmacy school... but to each his own.I'll probably end up going for my Masters, but that's only because most of the companies that recruit MIS majors over here offer tuition reimbursement and pay for their employees to go back to school if they want to (which is fairly common nowadays).

Anyway I was thinkin of someting like that 'cept with sports and astronomy involved somehow, but especially the sports-writer part. The bad part for you is if we both go to ASU you are going to have to deal with me on campus for a year :shifty2:

I really don't know what is in store for me in the future. I've always been a renaissance man who does a variety of things well. My dream is a career writing tv shows or to be a filmwriter. My most likely path is:Continue what I'm doing in high school (#1 or #2 in my class) and go to UCLA majoring in creative writing. After that point I'd go to the Iowa Writers Institute (the top creative writing program in the country for those who don't know) and then get a teaching gig at a community college (they have the easiest hours/highest pay) and have flexible hours and do the things I want for the rest of my life.
