try to get a defensive C.

Marquis Daniels and Josh Howard are great talents, but I think one is going to have to leave to be successful in this league, the Mavericks are full at every position.

I agree with Kobe 8 ball how his lineup is but I think that Howard, Finley, Daniels will split playing time then Howard will take over

Dallas want's Nash Back.. But does Nash want to go back to Dallas? If Nash bolts, I think Dallas will make an effort to keep Daniels..

The lineup should include Antawn Jamison, Dirk, Nash, and Finley. I am not to sure Howard is ready to start over Finley. And he could probably leave like stated earlier.

Josh Howard at PG? I haven't watched a lot of Mavs games this season but it appears to me that he is more suited to the SF/SG position, instead of the point.

I think you meant Marquis Daniels.

mavs need to dump antoine and antawn's contracts if they hope to resign nash, and get someone like damp.

nice mavs line up would be:

    nash
    finley
    howard/daniels
    dirk
    dampier

still plenty of offense, and some decent D inserted into the starting line up. no more dirk getting abused by centers down low too

If I were a Dallas fan I would really hope they get Dampier. Although I've heard people say they should get Camby, I really feel they need a full-sized big center, in this case Dampier would be the perfect fit. Hopefully they can also get Steve Nash back.. and the lineup look something like this:

    PG: Steve Nash
    SG: Michael Finley
SF: Antawn Jamison / Antoine Walker ( depending on if they need to trade one of these to aquire Dampier )
    PF: Dirk Nowitzki
    C: Erik Dampier

If they don't aquire Damp or another center:

    PG: Steve Nash
    SG:Marquis Daniels
    SF: Michael Finley
    PF: Antawn Jamison
    C: Dirk Nowitzki

I've always felt Jamison should be the starter over Walker, simply because I think he is the better player and they should get him going early. I also like the idea of having the most versitile player in Walker coming off the bench, because he is able to sub at basically every position when needed. What can I say.. this just makes more sense to me!

I only follow the Mavs a tiny bit, but don't you guys think Cuban should maybe break this squad up a bit. It seems like they do good every year and then wind up going no where in the playoffs (Same thing with the Kings). If it doesn't work the past 3 or 4 years why not try something totally new. Keep Nash, Dirk, Daniels, and Howard, then shop the rest.

You need to clean up your act, or find a new home to talk about basketball on the internet.

I agree about 9.9 keep Finley as well. You people always tend to leave him out because hes the oldest Mav. Think about this. Finley kept us from getting swept from by the Spurs.

Finley is always hitting big shots agisnt the elite teams to get us a victory.

Finley provides that vetren leadership were lacking.

Trade everybody excpet Finley, Nash, and Dirk. Even if it means trading Jamison, id hate to see him go but to help those 3 win a ring im willing to say FAREWELL!
